I'm currently playing this, it's a bit janky at first (it's an indie game after all)
But once you get past that after the first hour or two then the game gets really really good
I didn't play it myself but had the key sitting around for a long time and couldn't decide whether to activate it, I wanted to give something good for the train and seemed right to pick this :D
I know I played the demo and I didn't like that you need to aim first to be able to shoot. Is it that bad or it's something you can easily adapt to?

You need to aim to shoot, if you aren't aiming then you will do a melee attack first.
The game focuses a lot on resource gathering and management, so I guess they are making sure that you won't accidentally spray and pray, if you're going to shoot it's going to be with intent.
I'm at the last mission now. I've had quite a bit of fun with the game. It isn't as good as the STALKER games, but it's the closest we have to a proper competitor (minus Into the Radius which is a VR game).

Well, we will soon have STALKER 2 and I am ashamed to say that I never managed to finish the first 3. Ran another attempt and I'm 10-15h in the first one; 2-3 years ago. Still, I can easily say they are great games!
