So, back to giveaway related topics, I don't know when was the last time i saw a good western movie. Probably one by Sergio Leone, whiiiich is not so recent. Pretty sure there were good westerns after him, but I probably missed them (my last good experience with western theme is Red dead redemption 2)

The Hateful 8 was decent and Django Unchained. The Magnificent 7 was a decent remake.

Mad Max....i know its a weird answer. But I recently saw all the movies along with its Featurettes. And I loved what the director had to say:

Director George Miller reflects on the various cultural interpretations of Mad Max (1979) and how they influenced his preparation of Mad Max 2 (1981).

In Japan, Mad Max was considered a Samurai film; in France, it was a 'western on wheels'; in Scandinavia, Max was thought of as a Viking.
Miller's newfound awareness of the hero myth changed his approach to storytelling and the Max of the sequel and later movies is a more consciously mythological figure than in the first film.

Haha, Western on wheels . I totally see why people say that.

I saw Mad Max(es) and these were very good movies, probably served as a guide for fallout and most of post apocalyptic books/series/games

I'm kinda torn on this, as Star wars content tend to irritate me (As an old geezer, I loved the first trilogy, and not much what came after) . Still, the universe is great, and I heard good things about the mandalorian, so maybe one day.

It's very special and different to Star Wars all on it's own :)

Imagine David Carradine in Kung Fu, then put him in a space desert and make him talk through a helmet.

While caring for a green toddler.

How is that not TV gold?

Talking about more recent movies, you should watch "Hostiles": https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5478478/
And the kiiinda recent remake of "3:10 to Yuma" is also watchable: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0381849/

I just realize, both have Christian Bale in it :D

If you didnt watch Django yet you should really give it a try. Im on a movie "break" for almost 10 years already, but i watched Django like 3-4 times randomly with friends/family or when it just was on TV. Doesnt get boring at all and would watch it again. Christopher Waltz is just so brilliant in this movie and everyone else is doing also an amazing job. Its REALLY good and worth your time :)
