Berlin Tegel Airport

Catch one of the buses to various different stations:

• 128 to U6 Kurt-Schumacher-Platz
• TXL to S41 or S42 at Beusselstrasse.
• X9 or the 109 to U7 Jakob-Kaiser-Platz

Welcome to Berlin!

This airport was scheduled to be decommissioned in 2012 and yet it's still going strong! At some point it will, if they ever finish the other airport they've been working on.
This airport handles most of the intercontinental traffic by plane to Berlin. Not exclusively, but the majority comes through here as it's a very large airport and can handle the traffic of both people and planes.

Greetings and welcome to the Berlin community Train event.
Now that you're here, ride to your hearts content. There are a ton of great GAs around to find, and perhaps a few puzzles or hidden giveaways.

This was the airport I first arrived at in Berlin. I had to get to Schlactensee Studentendorf. I didn't take the trains. I took a cab. Heh.

Random Experience:

Later I showed up with a new friend who was my roommate's friend visiting him from out of town. She was staying with him and he hadn't taken her to see anything. So I took her to the airport so she could try to figure it out. He wouldn't even do that for her. You can believe I was pissed. However, along the way we stopped for ice cream at zoo, and ended up visiting the rooftop access at the Airport. I managed to turn her day around and she ended up staying instead of leaving, but she mostly hung out with my friends instead. They all adopted her when I went out of town on a trip, and I let her stay in my room at the apartment, instead of staying with him anymore.

After she left, he had a breakdown. But that's a story for another time. If ever.
