What is Nitronic Rush about?

Nitronic Rush is a stunning one of a kind arcade racer. I rarely even play car racing games and I couldn't help becoming addictive to it's pristine game play. Not only the visuals are engaging but the music actually responds to your actions and gives way to amazing moments. This indie game can standup to any AAA title any day of the week. If you got a spare 15 minutes, please give it a try, I guarantee you will love this game! Have a look at the release trailer.

I can't stop playing this game! Why hadn't I heard of it before?

Even after so many awards and cult followers, the simple truth is that the game was born as a humble project from students at the DigiPen Institute and was never intended for commercial scale distribution. It has always been some kind of hidden gem.

What is Distance going to be about?

It's a spiritual sequel to it's predecessor on steroids. Distance will include Mac/PC/Linux native support, split screen, multiplayer over LAN/Internet, improved graphics, fresh backstory, an open world to explore, plenty of new multiplayer modes, etc.

How do I get this game?

The game is in it's early development stages and it won't get any farther if the developers can't come up with enough money to fund the project.

Fund the project and get a copy of the FULL GAME for as low as 15 USD!

nitronic rush is one of my favorite games ever, or it would be, if it worked with my controller. you need an xbox piece of junk. oh well. it functions with logitech, but controls stick and non-function sporadically, to the point of not being playable actually. such a shame. one of the coolest games i ever saw, wasted. im gonna have to check out what theyve been up to though.

The developers are aware of this issue. It happens to be part of the limitations of the DigiPen engine.
This time however, they are using a new engine that will help prevent issues like this.

thats really good to hear, i hope they fix it up. I have their other games AFGT and Deity added as non-steam games to steam but have yet to check them out. NR is the big daddy. Thanks for the reply!

Viewing that trailer, I have to say i much prefer Nitronic Rush's style... it was more Tron-y, it was NiTRONic rush after all for a reason. maybe they were worried about copyright. But nearly every small detail, the makeup of the cars, the look of the buzzsaws, the roads.. I liked the old look better :p

Copyright might have been a concern XD

Nevertheless, this is not even the BETA or even the ALPHA version, so its subject to change.
They are still open to tweaking the overall style, I'm sure the end result will be miles ahead from this preliminary version.

They also made Deity which is one of the most fun games I've ever played too. Only gripe is its short.

Got my pledge in for distance about a week ago. Found out about it because another game I'm backing backed it. (The other game is Interstellar Marines if anyone was wondering and it's on kickstarter and has been greenlit)

Nitronic Rush was epic! One of my favorite racing games heh, though it was too short. Deity was awesome as well, though really, really short! I can't afford to fund their kickstarter though :/. Best of luck to them!

There are only 10 days left for the funding campaign to end! Go ahead and make a pledge.

If the goal is not reached no one's credit card will get charged, if we get ot the goal we'll get an awesome game on Steam! WIN = WIN!
