PAYDAY: A good game?

no gets old fast and repetitive stay away from it,even though i spent 4$ on it during summer sale i regret buying it

Meh, depends. I would say no, but it's good with friends.

I tried it out during the free weekend a few months ago. To me personally, I played through all the maps with a group of friends over a couple hours. There really aren't that many maps in the game, and it got pretty repetitive somewhat quickly. I personally wouldn't buy it for full price, maybe if you find it discounted. Whatever you think a couple hours of entertainment is worth.

never played it but a friend of mine said it was a L4D clone, just not as good...

i got payday in the last sammer sale and i can tell you it worth every cent ot the 5$. If you intend to play with your friends i can assure you'll have a lot of fun playing BUT.. playing with random people is a whole different thing and is very boring and repetitive.

With friends I can see it being alright.

I have it and it a great game. if you buy the DLC you will have 9 heist, 7 if you don't. The objectives are the same every time you play each, but some things will change. Some objective will change place each time you play the heist again. I had never play it online, but with bots the game is great.

The game features dynamic environments and enemy spawns, so a heist will never play the exact same way twice. Teamwork is the key to this game, as players will have to work together and assume different roles.

i did this for a lot of games (this one, metro 2033, etc) and they where the best game i had ever played.

I think it's a good game, it's repetitive sure. What game isn't? I usually play a couple hours of day, friends or without, even though i reached max rep you can still play all nine of the heists including DLC.

"Left for dead clone" cute, it takes the concept from Left the Dead and bring you into a criminal mind robbing banks and getting money. Payday is loads of fun. I'd recommend if you have friends to play with but without any it won't be as fun i suppose.

Seems like most of you are just pulling reasons not to pick it up out of your ass.

Pretty good game, you will need non brain dead mates though.
Personally, I didnt like Left 4 Dead but playing the hell out of Payday: The Heist

I have seen gameplay of it and read about it on game forums, I have not actually played it (I decided to let it pass) so keep that in mind ;).

The game seems fine, but as others have noted, I think it could get repetitive. Unlike a typical online FPS, it is very step by step objective based. You can't change that. Sure, sometimes you will get the code right away, sometimes you don't, but the heists all follow the same pattern. I think that once you have established a routine (where to bunker down, etc.), you might get tired of it. After all, every map has a pretty linear path to follow.

Also, it seems it isn't newbie friendly. If you want to play online with random people and they see you have a low level, they apparantly kick you out right away. So I think it would be best to have a bunch of friends to play it with, that might be where the fun is :)

I won Payday here. It is an awesome game. Its not repetitive, there are ~10 maps, but everything is always random.
If i knew Payday was this much fun before, i would've bought it. I can only recommend it.

If you have friends to play it with, it will be fun. Random games with strangers seems alright too.

I wouldn't pay full price but it goes on sale all the time so yeah go for it

I think it's a pretty great game with friends. Just a little repetitive, but plenty to keep you busy.

It's great, but you need to buy it on sales.

Its ok but not a great game, if you want to play a few hours with your friends will be ok, but nothing more. its value is no more 4$

I love the game, but I think you should look for a steam CD key somewhere else other than steam itself.

But if you didnt like Left for dead, dont get the game. And yes, it does get a bit repetitive. I still like it though.

good if you have 3 friends to play with you, all the time.

It's wonderful with at least ONE friend. You don't need any more than that, though 3 friends is even better. It's lot like L4D.

A challenging game. I personally really enjoy it, especially with friends. But everyone will see it differently I'm sure. It's not perfect, but it's far from bad :)
