Dawn of War games

I see a lot of giveaways for Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War games. Usually, this means there was a sale at some point leading to a spike of giveaways. I can't find it any record of it however. Is it just a game people like to give away?

They were part of the Humble THQ bundle at least, and I think they've been on sale a number of times since. (at least complete franchise pack was somewhere in the 10-15 euros range during the last Winter sale)
