Gothic is maybe my favorite franchise, definitely one of, Risen while not quite as good is pretty great, and has that same exploratory feeling that Gothic games have.
Dont know if Elex will work with its weird setting and jetpacks and what not, but Ill definitely be playing it. :)

Not sure how I'll feel about the sci-fi stuff in this game once I finally buy one for myself, but it could work out somehow... :)

It might work yeah. Main thing with all PB games is the exploration and music/atmosphere, combat could be alright but who knows.
Sometimes weird is good, after all, thats how innovation happens - trying out different shit and previously considered strange ideas. :D

Yeah, it's not fun when every game features identical mechanics to all the other games in that genre... :)
I got bored with Dragon Age: Inquisition and umm, the Mass Effect one, just didn't care to do all the stupid busywork... If you made a 20 hour game, don't feel obligated to add 60 hours of repetitive garbage to make it last longer... :)

Never even heard of ELEX but it does look promising.Played through Gothic 1+2 which I loved but I could not make it through 3 :( Risen is def in my top 10 rpgs of all time.Risen 2 had a decent story but the ending was very meh.Have yet to play Arcania and Risen 3.Many thanks for the gib BTW :)

Don't people usually give away brand new games to promote umm, whatever it is people promote around here? Youtube channels or Steam groups or dodgy key resellers that are exactly the same as ebay and I like money so shut up? :)
And ELEX is a brand new one, so there should be piles of giveaways for it somewhere, right?
But I checked the giveaways page, and there's nothing. :( Maybe there's some region-restricted ones? Or for private groups?
