You can manually open Community - Broadcasts in steam client and select Yulelog broadcast (it's on first page there). It'll count for a task.

The deals aren't amazing, and the $5 coupon is slightly hard to get if I want a few of the emotes too. A good use might be to buy a bunch of those dlcs that never go more than 50% off.
While Epic has a free $10 coupon, they have much fewer games on sale that are also above $15, the only one I'd consider buying would be John Wick Hex.
I think Humble's Winter sale hasn't started yet? I remember last year their sale started later.
So Fanatical currently has the best discounts on games I'm interested in.
Gamersgate has a few good discounts too but prices change every 3 days or so, slightly annoying. Ace Attorney is 50% off atm there.
Dunno if I'll succumb to buying something from Fanatical or wait to see if Humble will have better prices later in January. Money saved?

This event is slightly better than the summer shitshow, but only slightly.
At least the cards are back and everyone gets the same amount of tokens this time. There's that discount coupon that you won't be able to get even close to without spending a massive amount of cash and the stickers don't even stick around after the event, so that's just a waste of tokens. And it seems Valve can't be even arsed to come up with a minigame, though no minigame at all might be better than what we got last time.
Haven't checked the actual discounts yet though, fingers crossed there are some really good discounts for my wishlisted games.

They changed so the animated stickers will stick around even after the event ends now. As for the chat effects are still limited uses even if they don't expire before using them up.

Same here, closed steam with 2900´ish tokens on thursday, came back friday evening to find 5900 tokens - did´nt think twice, hammered that 5$ coupon. Now it´s back to 3100 tokens and coupon seemingly still available :E

still seems screwed up
i got 700 from quests, 6638 from purchasing resident evil 3, those 2 are also the only listed things, on the coin page, yet i somehow got buffed up to 13000 yesterday, then down to 4000, then up to 17000, and now im sitting on 13847 coins
no refunds done, nothing at all that could explain it

not bad, they made me buy 2 dlc and 1 cheap game.
used some wallet i had and didn't get any tokens, but that's fine, i think i would have got like 14 tokens anyway 😅. pity some people think valve owes them something and they are being scammed by not getting tokens unless they add a "real-life" payment option. talking about entitlement... 🤦♀️
