thanks for the chart. I had a lot more than I was thinking that I have.

+1 with special attention to Subnautica -- it's really a beautiful, imaginative, creative game and it just keeps getting better as it gets closer to being completed.
Although I already have the games I'm most interested in, I strongly support the ACLU so I will be picking this bundle up and hopefully making some people happy with some gifts. :)
To those who are abstaining in contempt of the theme and non-profits featured in this campaign, regardless your political affiliation, the ACLU has a strong non-partisan history of fighting for individual's rights, and they have fought for the individual rights of republicans, democrats, and everyone inbetween.

Rust is special though. Really special. Its black/grey market price range is almost a mystery; technically it has been on HB for about a dollar now, yet the price never goes below 10. It is like there is a huge mass of buyers on G2A who literally never heard about any other site than that and Steam and never realise how much of a profit margin their sellers work with.
Gotta admit though, for a thrice-bundled MMO survival game that will forever be stuck in alpha and never get an actual release (and being one of the roughly four hundred similar games that offer exactly the same goddamn thing), this is an impressive achievement.

I don't think the issue is specifically about Rust, because I see the same phenomenon with other MMOs like Hurtworld. Other games that are bundled even once in the Humble Monthly get devalued, but MMOs maintain their prices. Part of it has to do with some kind of insane popularity of MMOs in eastern european countries, and they may have some kind of availability issue or something that keeps them buying from these resellers.

popularity of MMOs in eastern european countries
Do you have some sources for that? I know about popularity in eastern hemisphere aka Korea, China. Haven't heard about Europe yet.
While multiplayer plays an amplifying role, I don't see the effect limited to MMOs only.

Do you have some sources for that?
Nah, just anecdotal observation of the way many of these survival games seem to be dominated by people from certain parts of the world, and the people who are willing to pay more to buy copies to resell.
Comment has been collapsed.
I mean, they pay more than the usual bundle split prices for games. So, Rust has been bundled enough that it shouldn't cost more than $1 now, but they are paying $5 or more for it. It's cheaper than retail but more than the value it has on the market, at least, for those who know what games can be had for.

a huge mass of buyers on G2A
Exactly, but the low price offers get bought away quickly and the value stabilizes. As such:
Rust is special
nop, a bunch of popular titles have gone through similar. Popularity (=high sale throughput) is the only deciding factor
for a thrice-bundled MMO survival game that will forever be stuck in alpha and never get an actual release (and being one of the roughly four hundred similar games that offer exactly the same goddamn thing), this is an impressive achievement.
Haha xD indeed the extents of the hype around survival games eludes me as well. Is there even a single one not in EAcc (and somewhat finished)?

This won't even put a dent in its value with this insane price tag

The initial investment is too high for most grey market peeps to bother with it. Most of the sales are coming from peeps who believe in the charities/cause and not from those looking to make an easy buck.

30 dollars and only one normal game - stardew valley. Nah

The explanation makes sense:
We were not able to add every game in time for our launch, so we will be trying to add more content from interested developers over the course of the promotion. Keep an eye out for more content will be added to this bundle this Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. Pacific time, but no guarantees! If you already paid for the $30 tier, you'll automatically receive the additional content once they're added!

They are going to have a hard time trying to convince any developer to join this, especially for good games (like the ones they already have). One thing is to jump in when the bundle starts and you don't know how it is going to do. Knocking at a developer's door asking to join a live bundle where they already have to drop +80K keys is a totally different matter...

I took it as that they were still in negotiations with some of the devs before they went live, or were waiting for commitments. In other words, I'd don't think they'd be "cold calls" to join during a live bundle.
That said, you're right-- it's a lot of keys.

I never noticed The Witness's trailer had music in it since the game doesn't have any.
well, that's not completely true. ;)
Comment has been collapsed.
Hm.. I don't really remember, but I remember reading the game had no music (and I played it for like 100 hours) since I guess it didn't want to interrupt the sound puzzles. I probably forgot if it had any music, though.
I don't consider sound puzzles music if that was suggested even if it does 'sound' like music in any way.
Comment has been collapsed.
no, those puzzles are not what i mean. spoiler alert! didn't you get to the hidden cave with the record player? there is actual music there. ^^

yeah, it was glorious. :)
i never beat it, though. played the whole game with controller. and that part was really difficult that way. i was close a few times, though. i always wanted to give it another try. never did. maybe i should do that at some point this year.

Sproggingwood and The Witness are the only ones of my kind. The others are mostly casual games which I'm not a fan of
What about you? ;)

It's still a lot of money to spend on one payment. Especially if you already own a lot of the games or are only interested in a couple. That's why I like the tiered bundles. You at least get some choice in there if there are only a couple of games you want. Here it is either you spend a lot of money and get a lot of games you might not want, or you don't buy anything.

I payed 11 bucks for Subnautica. If I get a refund I'm definitively getting this bundle.

I wish I have this money for The Wit~ the lil children, of course.

A lot there, but for the cause it is, I'm more than willing to grab it for the ones I don't have and give friends the rest of the games. Lots of great stuff in there to spread around the love with.

Although it is polical statement from HB to do it at this moment: people should not get angry at ACLU or any organization as those are not polical and help anyone equally. That shit storm is not really rational imo... (But political arguments are not the most know for being rational discussions, I guess.)

for as much as healthcare costs in the USA you'd think I already did fund those doctors a million times over.

It would be political statement if ACLU would be only after Trump, and it wouldn't have worked in the past nearly 100 years, standing up for the civil rights against any governing party. It's not their fault that the prized president tries to implement changes that are unconstitutional...

Travel bans are not unconstitutional.
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.
Barack Obama invoked it 19 times, Bill Clinton 12 times, George W. Bush six times and Ronald Reagan five times. George H.W. Bush invoked it once.
On April 7, 1980, following the storming of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and the capture of 52 Americans who were held hostage for 444 days, he took several steps in breaking off diplomatic relations with the government of Iran. Among them was an order to ban all Iranians from entering the country.

Travel bans might not be unconstitutional, but unconstitutional ones certainly are.
Now Trump needs to convince the courts that it isn't a Muslim ban when he explicitly campaigned on it being a Muslim ban. Turns out that people don't just throw out the footage of Trump running his mouth. Oops.
Comment has been collapsed.
Parts of the ban are constitutional, parts are unconstitutional and parts are questionable.
The part that is unconstitutional is banning foreigners with a valid greencard without due process
The part that is constitutional is that the president may suspend entry to a class of foreigners upon a finding that entry would be detrimental to the united states
The parts that are questionable are (1) such finding must have a basis in fact; it cannot be "arbitrary and capricious", and
(2) The U.S. has agreements with some of those 7 countries formalizing the visa process / entry process for nationals in both directions. Such agreements have been ratified by congress and have the same legal validity as federal law (i.e. the only higher law is the constitution). The law providing that the president may by proclamation suspend entry is also federal law, meaning they are of equal standing - and conflict with each other unless there's a suspension clause in the treaty. I've not read the actual treaties, as ratified by congress
It is therefore unclear which takes priority, the statute permitting the suspension of entry, or the treaty dictating the terms & conditions of entry. Best guess is that it's a chronological issue, with treaties ratified before the statute was passed being treated differently than treaties ratified after. But that's not my area of expertise.
And, just to be clear, there has not been a judgment on the merits. The lower court that issued a temporary restraining order merely ascertained that there was a sufficient likelihood the government could lose its case and that there was a sufficient risk of irreparable harm to warrant a TRO. The appellate decision ruled that the executive order was subject to judicial review (says so in the constitution) and that the government had not met the burden of proof to stay the TRO - they did not show a sufficient likelihood of imminent harm if the TRO was not stayed.
Again, courts have not ruled as to whether or not the executive order is constitutional, in whole or in part, nor has it ruled on whether the entire executive order should be tossed, or only the unconstitutional parts (if any). The court has merely told the government to wait with enforcing the executive order until there is a hearing to determine whether or not it's constitutional
