Side bar: How do some people win more than they give away, I've never won a single thing, but others have won stacks... must be doing it wrong... oh well.

Ahhh so the trick is to spam the entries. I only enter for games I'd actually play.

So I did the maths, and your ratio is actually still a lot better than mine. 170 entries per win, versus 237 to nothing.

If you look to my wins you will see the number of participants has declined significantly since 10 month ago.
If you want to increase your chances of winning your favorite games here ( SG ) you need to join some groups with less members.
also there's a budgie here makes potions. I've heard from some customers that her potions can increase winning chances in GA-s too. We are still trying to find her! jk

We as a security agency searched every damn corner of internet to find any clue about someone with that name but we found nothing.
She'd used a fake name to hide her real identity.
We even tracked some messaging between her and cg. It looks like she treated cg to retired himself and officially introduce her as the new admin or will makes SG unstable by her powers.
She has a powerful evil within herself.

This sounds like the sort of unstoppable evil that only a strong party with a high level mage and a hero that was foretold in a cliche-ridden prophecy could vanquish. Looks like I need to level up some more.
I have the feeling there's a secret meaning here and I just can't crack it...

Haha yeah. It's more blessed to give than receive.

Excuse me, what is that bad ratio you mentioned? I'd like to know.
Thank you!

Some GAs require you to have a certain ratio via SG tools and it can be frowned upon and even get you on blacklists for being a leecher if your win:give-ratio is too low. So winning too much may not be in your favour, especially not if it's for games you don't really want.

Is not about spamming entries, it's always nice to enter those giveaways where, at least, you will have a 1% chance of winning (100 entries in a game, I found out a sweet spot in which I have more chances to win, dunno if that sweet spot ACTUALLY works, but I've won 5 times in almost a week, but NOT because of this, I use this sweet spot to try and get a rare win around, if I can...)
Play a bit with the statistics and you'll start winning more than you can give at some point... Still, you require Lady Luck for every entry... The part where you decrease the entry count you already did, just let your own Luck to decide who wins.
One way to play with those statistics is to go participate in puzzles and forum giveaways, they get filled with a couple of people (Around 200-300, sometimes, 20-50 entries), meaning most people are lazy to do this, yet they are ruining their own chances of winning.
And... well... that's it! It's not magic, it's all about probabilities and how to properly work them, it has worked fairly well to me so far, but it might not in a future.
Thanks for reading. Hope I make some sense, hehe.

Yeah it makes sense, not many people have time / patience to participate in puzzles and so the odds are put in your favour.

Most puzzles can be solved in a matter of minutes with the tools you have in hand, and also with experience.
It's always nice to invest some of your time in them, since you will start to earn experience.
Let's put you in an example where there's a puzzle that you know how to solve, but before even knowing what is this about, you didn't know, and you took maybe 10x of the time to do it as of now, "Oh, hey! I know how to do this! This is a a trap! Instead of putting the code in "giveaway", you have to put it in "discussion", because discussions have that same code, just to fool others!". And there you go! You solved a puzzle in less than 2 minutes, at best, while others would take hours and hours to figure out! (I learned this today, lol)
I might sound... opportunistic... but I just take those chances and make them mine! Of course, I'm also willing to ask for a re-roll if you don't feel like you want me to win, as well! I'm totally fine with that!
Thanks for reading!

Eh I'm not too worried, I generally get the games I want. Just find it strange that some people seem to be really lucky.

Hey that's a good idea. When I make my first puzzle giveaway I'll keep it in mind.

Ok that's good to know. When I make a puzzle giveaway I'll make sure it's a jigsaw.

Thanks, hopefully when I make one you can climb on board... :-)

Hmm seems a few people are coming unstuck at the half way point of the train. Here's a hint, you'll need to use a bit of decryption.
Comment has been collapsed.
haha. Well others have managed. It's 8 characters long. And they all have the same grammatical feature, so it's not anything too tricky. Perhaps you're trying the codes on the wrong site?
Comment has been collapsed.
Sure you can, but there are 2 sites that use 8 character codes.

For those that want to give it a try, the games in this short little train are: Red Faction : Guerrilla, Knights of Pen and Paper Deluxier Edition, Hordelicious, Final Exam, Fallen Enchantress: legendary Heroes, PIx the Cat, Grow Home and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.
Not many people have got passed the half way point (grow home). So here's a hint, you'll need to use a similar trick to the other ones, but this time take what you get and run it through a decoder. The type of decryption you'll need is alluded to in the second part of the description. It's a pretty common form of encoding I used and there are plenty of decryption tools online if you just google it.

Ahh shucks, I wasn't going to help, but that cat... dammit...

Bump for only five hours left... 3 of the gibs still have less than 5 entries, so I guess I won't be getting credit for them.
Comment has been collapsed.
These 3 needs a couple more entries... 3 hours left.
