When I go to http://www.steamgifts.com/sync and try to sync my account it tells me "If you would like to force a refresh, please switch to a public Steam profile."

My profile is set to public. I thought it was, but I went and checked anyway and it's all public.

I'm trying to sync because I joined a group, but for Steamgifts to know about it, it needs to sync with my Steam account. Anyone have an idea?

EDIT: Everyone was right. It was just because the Steam community was down on Steam's end. It came back up and I was able to force a sync.

It's a glitch, it will sort itself out eventually. I've had it happen before.

I think it's because SteamCommunity is offline now...

Yeah, I was just browsing the Steam site and starting to think something was wrong. First thing I noticed is it said I was offline when I knew I wasn't. Now it's telling me that every group has 0 members and that none of my friends have played any games ever. I should have poked around a little more before I made a post.

you can fix this by: open IE > press Ctrl+Shift+P > new IE Window will open, now open SG in the new IE Window & sync.

if this is a problem in your PC this will fix it, but if SteamCommunity offline just wait.

i know this gonna happen LOL.. SG community chill the fuck up, i don't use IE, i use Firefox & the last time i used IE was a year ago when i wanted to sync my account ( i was facing the same problem OP talked about).

you saying:
why he said open IE? you can do the same thing from Firefox or Chrome RIGHT ? & there is "Privet Browsing" option in Firefox & Chrome ?

the answer is I KNOW .. but when you use "Privet Browsing" option in Firefox, Firefox will delete your "History", "Cache" & all of your saved user names & passwords. that's why i said open IE. no one using IE, so i don't wnat him to lose his usernames's & passwords, it's pain in the ass.

tl;dr: i'm the fucking export SG community chill the fuck up.
