Using a uplay only DRM means I have to go out of my way to open that game. I really like being organized on Steam. haha.

Well since this runs for 2 weeks til the 17th and there's a supposed Spring Festival sale on the weekend of 13-14, you never know if it might go on sale on steam. If it doesn't, you can easily grab the bundle.

you can add the game as "nonsteam game" in steam and everything is the same

Maybe the problem is not Ubisoft, for example I love the games that this people do, but really I don't like UPLAY, I want all my games are in one plattaform and I choose Steam.. so I think that much of the complaints are for this fact of the use UPLAY

Tier 1 seems like a really good value. I recently finished Grow Home and would heartily recommend it. It really is very charming. I'm interested in Gunslinger and Rayman too (yes, even if it is Uplay), so I'll probably bite. I'd definitely wait on the tier 2 until they announce the other games for it.

I had a problem with uPlay about 4 years back. There was a lot of issues with privacy, etc. That said, I have bought the following games for uPlay over the last 2 bundles from HB with more to come this time in the BTA:
Rayman® Origins
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon®
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six®
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® 3 Gold (Raven Shield / Athena Sword)
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Vegas
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory®
Far Cry 3
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell® Blacklist™
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China
All of those for $5.61 - For that I am prepared to investigate uPlay again. I also got 2 extra steam games bundled.

I was really interested in some of these games and I was planning on buying the highest tier... But then I noticed the keys are all for Uplay. FeelsBadMan

i could have even gone with tier 3 but seriously? uplay sucks

I was going to post this in a different thread, but it got locked before I could. My stance on Uplay:
Seems to me that Uplay is Ubisoft DRM disguised as a client. Look no further than the passive-aggressive third option up there on the poll: Even if you own a Ubisoft game on steam, you need uplay to play it. There is no reason for this. It's entirely Ubisoft's decision to require you to have a second app active. The "convenience" of playing a given game on client A compared to client B is only present because client A purposefully makes it LESS convenient to play on client B.
Just my two cents.

I felt that way about steam when I first started using it. Why should I have to have steam running just to play my games? I eventually got used to it, and since it's not much different to have to launch Uplay and Steam to play one of their games I am not sure why it is such a big deal. I can understand if it gives problems launching or "always online" DRM because those suck if you have crap internet, but making such a big deal just because you have to launch another application? It's not like you HAVE to buy Ubisoft games on steam. You can just buy them on Uplay and then not have to worry about launching steam. Although I think it's cool they sell games on steam, because it's convenient, and you get all the benefits of having any other game on steam such as cards/achievements/screenshot uploads etc.. Which brings up another point about Uplay having the same kind of system where you can unlock in-game items using points on the Uplay platform.
On this bundle here though, they do not even have steam keys, it's Ubisoft only... so this problem does not even apply here.

I understand your point of view, but I disagree with it. I'd like to discuss, but I'm extremely poor at debating and getting my points out. It took me about 12 hours off-and-on just to write that paragraph I quoted. Thanks for your reply though.

So I have a question for you folks. This is the first time I've consciously done the old 'lock in the price' thing. But having gone to the 'increase your payment amount' section in my profile, I notice it doesn't tell me how much I locked it in as. Is there any way to determine this, or is it entirely on me to note it down when I make my initial purchase?

Had to check the faq to see if it was still there:
"If you wish to beat the average on a purchase you already made, navigate back to your download page and click the "Like what we're doing?" link at the top to increase your amount. (NOTE: This option is available for approximately 30 days after the bundle ends; the option is not available on gift purchases.)"

Continuing on from the other U-Play nasayers... My U-Play stopped displaying my games today after an update.
Uninstalling U-Play and re-installing it from a download on the web site changed how my U-Play looked completely and gave me my games back.
If you are having troubles with U-Play, try it. I haven't brought the bundle, just wanted to collect the cards from Anno 2070 that are now available...

I was wondering... those Uplay only games would not getting bundled on SG right? since they are not steam games... Just curious :P I think that is first time for Far Cry 3 to be bundled... but it can't be given away on SG... so makes sense it would not be bundled for that.

It's a good bundle... on of the best ones in the last few months.
It feels like there are some (a lot of) people that think it's "cool" to complain about uplay.
Same people play rockstar, blizzard and valve games.
Ubisoft is not "the best publisher" but uplay is not that bad at all. It's a drm just like any other... They had big trouble with this software but now it's okay. You can get nice ingame stuff just for playing and spend your "points"... For me this is a better idea then cards where you have to buy more cards with real money to get a full set...
Tbh I would love to see a chart of people complaining about uplay and how old they are.

I'll grab this as soon as the mystery games are revealed. Uplay was shit for a long time but it's been in active development for a while now. It is clear that Uplay is here to stay and even if you purchase these games from Steam you still have to play them through Uplay so if you want these games this is actually a very good deal.

Some people are saying that AC China is region locked (at least in RU/CIS). So it might be the case for the whole bundle.

The one thing I wish UPlay had was a Mac client, so that even if the games are mostly PC, I can still activate them and manage my account from OS X, instead of switching over to my Windows PC. Origin and Steam do a good job with this.
