completed bioshock 1 and bioshock 2 not so long time ago...
imo, start with 1 part and after short break continue with 2 part...
2 part is like more deeply addition to 1 part in terms of how utopian dreams can fall etc.
so buy both :D

I bought both of them because I thought they were pretty cheap, but yeah, go with the first BioShock.

Bioshock 1 had a better story and a great atmosphere.

Bioshock 2 had slightly better combat and continued the great atmosphere of the first game.

Both are excellent games, but Bioshock 2 is often looked down upon because the first game is basically a masterpiece.

they play almost identically, I prefer bioshock 1 as it had a great story, and made you want to know what was coming next.

bioshock 2 was a bit of a let down as it didn't seem to add anything interesting. but yes, buy both as soon as they go cheap enough, that's what i did last sale.
