Sounds more like a re-branding than anything else. Doesn't sound like ownership of anything changed hands.

Dumb name, but if that is the only change for the worse, then I don't mind.

So, we still seeing BundleStars until 31 Oct. Until then they just change the name only and just input new blog only. (From what i see)

I will miss the old name. "Bundle" always makes me think of indie games, and I like them.

My guess would be shifting the focus to being a store first and bundle site seconds. Worked for Humble, after all. Bundle Stars is not a frenetic, but a capable enough store with some competitive prices, so maybe would be worth the gamble.

Not crazy about the new name but I can understand the reasoning behind trying to get a more distinctive brand.

Naming games store ppl that do anything because of their belief is huge turnoff.

Religious fanatics (inquisition, crusades, jihads) first come to mind, but political fanatics aren't far behind.

Fanatical ... not exactly a positive connoted word, must be one "brilliant" chap who signed off on that decision lol.
Clearly they are trying to get rid of the "bundle" as it equals cheap stuff and "stars" is too generic. Maybe they'll
venture into a platform business "fanatic launcher hue hue git fanatic git launcher git games" ... kinda fits the theme.

Bundle Stars was an accurate description, well known, and respected.

Fanatical sounds like a child's idea of a cool name for a band or super hero, not to mention the negative connotations. Paired with the dub-step announcement trailer, it just feels like they're trying too hard to appear cool, when they really don't need to be.

Reminds me of when Sleepy's re-branded to MattressFirm. What panel of overpriced experts thought that was a good idea?
