I typed up a lengthy post for a new thread about this bundle, but I saw that you beat me to the posting by a couple of minutes, so I'll just post it here:
There's a new Indie Bundle theme called Indie Royale Bundle, which has nothing to do with charity (although you are still supporting the game developers by buying the bundles).
How It Works
The concept is a spin on the Humble Indie Bundle: You get a collection of indie games on the cheap, complete with Steam and Desura activation keys. The pricing starts at $2, but as more bundles are sold, the price increases. If you pay more than the current price (no option to pay less), you will decrease the price for future buyers.
Games in the Launch Bundle
You get both Steam and Desura redemption keys, as well as the option of a direct download. According to my Paypal receipt, the showrunner here is Desura.
For every 10,000 bundles sold, a single DLC for Sanctum will be made available in all bundles.

I wonder if Gemini Rue will be redeemable on Steam soon since it just came out on the platform. I'll either buy Gemini Rue for $8.50 on Steam or purchase a bundle if it becomes redeemable for $8.50.
That's how psycho I am about keeping my games in Steam.

According to Indie Royale Bundle's Twitter account, which Memoscorp just posted below, they are aware that Gemini Rue just was added to Steam and all bundles will receive Steam keys for the game once they get some issues sorted out:

Update on the situation: It looks like the Indie Royale guys deleted their post about it on Twitter. I'm not sure what that means...possibly that they will not be adding the Steam keys for Gemini Rue after all. I double checked my bundle, and there is still no Steam key option for it, so they didn't remove their statement due to fulfillment at least.

They have an updated post that indicates the Steam keys will be given out once the current bundle has run its course

I bought it and redeemed the steam key for Nimbus, but the key was already redeemed on another account. Are they seriously selling used keys or what?

In the FAQ, it is stated that this bundle promotion is run by Desura and IndieGames.com. My Paypal charge listed Desura Pty Ltd (sales@desura.com) as the recipient of my payment.
Wolfire Games runs the Humble Indie Bundle promotions, so at least, they're not the same entities.

It's affiliated with Desura, also known as the folks behind ModDB.

I had no problem redeeming my Steam key for ARES, Sanctum, or Nimbus just a minute ago. Have you checked the rest of your keys yet? If you are able to redeem each individually, you can contact Steam or Indie Royale Bundle support and make the case that whomever redeemed your defective key is on another account, while all the other titles are on yours. If all of the keys are defective, then you can ask the Indie Royale Bundle people to check if you were given non-unique/duplicate keys accidentally.

Nah, where is Google Checkout, WebMoney, Moneybookers, etc? FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU!

seperate keys for each game.
also, Gemini Rue does only has a Desura key for now

damn, someone should sue these idiots for selling used steam keys. I want a valid key or my money back!
Comment has been collapsed.
Are your serious? They made a mistake and are fixing it as soon as they can...Sue over that? O_o
Comment has been collapsed.
Use your brain. I wrote that over an hour ago. By that time, it wasn't clear that the used keys were distributed due to a bug. It was just Desura selling steam keys, and a lot of those keys being already redeemed. So YES, that would be enough grounds for a lawsuit.

Use your brain, because IndieGames.com and Desura are really gonna do something like that? You gotta be kidding. Tell ya what, next time you buy something like this and get bad keys, wait for a response because it was OBVIOUSLY a mistake...or you can sue over your 2 dollars and change lose, up to you.

They're aware of the issue and are working on it (I hope).

IndieRoyale updated their Twitter account.
Still looking into the Steam key issues, hang tight!

Does beg the question on what to do with the keys, since the keys are individual and I expect some fiddling with the points system.

That's why the Humble Bundle rules apply to this pack. As the only acceptable form of giveaway for the bundle, you need to give away the unused gift URL, not just separate keys.

They just tweeted they got to the bottom of the code problem and will be fixing it. :DDD

Ughhh U Y NO OFFER AMAZON PAYMENTS, ROYALEBUNDLE.

Yeah a lot of teething problems with the site payment and uptime in general. The concept is interesting though I wonder one you get the price up to a certain point are you going to lose potential customers? Does address the issue of 1 cent downloading assholes though.

What might happen is that they've coded the price increases in a way that happens more quickly at first, but then slows down once it nears/reaches a certain predefined threshold , so that it never gets to a point where it's not worth a purchase from the average deal-seeking consumer, the price will just barely/never budge higher after reaching that point. Pure speculation on my part though.

I think that problem is going to occur naturally due to decreased sales. As of 10:30am EST the cost just hit $5. So they've done around 20k units in one day, and the price has increased by $3 ($2 to $5). This $5 is already above the 'average' price paid by the Humble Bundle users. It will be interesting to see how much the # of copies sold tapers off as the price increases. Unless Notch or someone else donates a few grand to drop the price (note that a $300 donation drops the price of the bundle by $2), I'm not sure if they can maintain the sales momentum.
I was kinda hoping they'd keep the 10k per Sanctum DLC thing though. At 70k for the next one, I think we won't be getting all the Sanctum DLC content based on pure sales numbers. Especially since the humble bundle moved 230k last time. And that's with the douchebags that paid 1 cent for the bundle.

I'm not sure if the following sentence is appropriate

Well I think they're trying to avoid the situation of the 1 cent purchasers which is understandable. Even at the current high price of $5. You're basically buying Sanctum at 50% off, getting 2 Sanctum DLC, and getting 3 games for free. Certainly not a bad deal by any measure.
Personally I think there's room for more of these kinds of innovative pricing strategies. Gabe Newell indicated in a recent talk that there was a very strange dynamic going on with advertising sale prices, and increases in sales, and conversion rates of TF2 players to paying players. I think indie devs are going to be more receptive to these 'strange' payment models. Some will work, others might falter. But I think this is the perfect arena to experiment with these new systems and see how the market reacts.

How is the Sanctum DLC added? Automatically or will codes be added??
Comment has been collapsed.
Not sure, doesn't say I have any DLC under my games properties.

Put in for $5, not much but only Gemini Rue holds any interest for me and I already have it. Quality game.
Tried a Nimbus demo months ago, good idea marred by a terrible control setup and irritating in game controls even after you do manage to get it set up adequately.

I wish it used Amazon payments, can't get it otherwise.

So the Indie Royale Bundle has started today.
It's $1.99 for 4 games (A.R.E.S. Extinction Agenda, Gemini Rue, Sanctum and Nimbus) and you will get direct download links, Steam keys and Desura keys.
The thing is, with every minimum purchase it will get more expensive and on the other hand, every higher amount payed will lower the minimum purchase price.
There are 3 more bundles scheduled to start in 14, 28 and 42 days.
I think the system sounds quite good and it certainly prevents all the $0.01 payments.
