New Description for the easily offended (no, I don't mean you!):
There are people here feeling unhappy about some winners behaviour. But I think there are also some giveaway-creators whose behaviour could, in my humble opinion, be called impolite. I already made the experience that, after wining a giveaway, I couldn't contact the winner because as soon as the giveaway ended he or she did put me on his (or her) blacklist. That's just fine. It's each persons own choice to put someone on his (or her) personal blacklist. But this way it is not possible for me to show the giver my honest gratitude. That really makes me sad.

If you are a sissy, don't read any further (I warned you!):
There is so much rant here about winners who don't activate keys, don't say thanks or whatever. Maybe I was just lucky but I had no problems with that yet. But I already stumbled upon several users who did blacklist me after winning one of their giveaways without any explanation. Guys, that's just rude!!! Wait until I had the opportunity to say thanks for the gift or at least give an explanation why I was blacklisted. OK, it's your giveaway, so you can do as you like. But I do feel pissed off by this kind of behaviour!

Edit:
I did not create this thread because I feel insulted by being blacklisted. It's just the following situation:
Yippee, I won a game! Thanks man, I feel really grateful. Blacklisted WTF, I can't even reply to the giver.

Yep, that pisses me off as well. At least wait until the winner has replied and then you can blacklist and do whatever you want. It's just rude. And it's what led me to be suspended twice, because I got really pissed off with one user who did this.

It's alot easier to give the winner a game, see it marked received, then blacklist!
Your suggestion would be hmm 2 days wait...4 days wait...6 days waiting.... come on say thanks so i can blacklist you.
Especially if someone is gifting alot, it's unfair (not saying i agree with those blacklisting).

That's not really what I suggested because I assumed people reply together with marking it as received. Don't know why someone would mark a giveaway as received and only reply days later. I personally only mark a giveaway as received after I've activated the game and left a reply to the creator, so it's okay to wait until it's marked as received to blacklist, but some people don't even do that. They blacklist you immediately after sending the gift. That's what pisses me off.

Didn't check the redeemed status, I'm on my phone, but deserved some gratitude! Thanks for the free key!

Just stop caring about those issues. You'll get a lot of blacklisting if you keep commenting and showing yourself as your ratio is terrible and some people blacklist those with bad ratios (as you're kinda leechers). You can always add or leave a message to their walls to thank them without bringing up the blacklist issue.

On the contrary my goodman, that's artificial selection. This way it's less likely that I will accidentally join a giveaway whose creator doesn't like my "attitude". I honestly don't want to win anything from a person who doesn't respect me.

Not liking your attitude and lack of respect are two different things.

Well ... they may have blacklisted you for having won a game from them ... I do know there are users that do that so the same person doesn't win from them twice.
