That was an awesome train, thanks :)
I'm not sure of the exact definition of "graphic adventure", so I can't name my favourite. If we're talking point and click though, it'd have to be Starship Titanic, a very old game by Douglas Adams, which recently made it to Steam. (Although I have a slight disagreement with Nightdive studios, who seem to be the publisher now).

Yeah, I was talking exactly about point and click games. Thanks for the suggestion, I didn't know this game at all! ;)

Graphic Adventure was a label introduced to distinguish adventure games which had graphical components (versus earlier games like Zork, which did not). While the label originally referred to the point & click games of the era, the rising presence of non-point-and-click adventure games in later years led to a shift to the "Point & Click Adventure" label. Despite now being a bit confusing in application, the older label hasn't ever really been associated with anything else, so you can usually assume it to have the same application as the more modern label.

Thanks for the explanation, now I can be sure what I know what people mean when they say "Graphical Adventure" ;)
Another worthy mention btw is Star Trek - 25th Anniversary edition for DOS, and it's sequel (I've forgotten the name, I have it somewhere on my computer) ;)

That's the best train I've ever seen! Thank you for many awesomeness.
Edit. From the train I'm guessing by graphic adventures you mean mostly point n'click games. I was a huge fan of them back in the day. One of my favorites is The Longest Journey. If you are interested in something less known I could recommend Overclocked: A History of Violence or NIBIRU. Also you should check out Crytek games like Aztec or Atlantis: The Lost Tales although I'm afraid they won't work on newest systems.

I should have a boxed copy of Nibiru, somewhere in my room! Instead, I didn't know Overclocked...thanks for the suggestion. I'm more than happy you enjoyed this train!

I am simply speechless at how amazing your train, and this thread in general, is... thank you for this ^^

I'm just amazed by the reaction of all of you guys. I love how it's easy to share old memories (and new games) in this community. And btw, thanks for the quote too! :)

Last but not least: can you name in the comments your favourite graphic adventures?
I'll go with Telltales Walking Dead season 1. That game drove up some emotions. I hope that counts :3

Of course it counts. It has one of the saddest endings ever...

The great times from childhood are everytime risen with old adventures, you're train made that to me again :D
THANKS!
Edit: I think there's one interesting old game which is little different that classical 2d-point-click adventures, but is great fun to play: The Neverhood. Saddly not on steam.

"Look behind you! A three-headed monkey!"
Hello everybody!
First of all I want to thank you all for this marvellous community, it's only two months I'm here and I already feel like home.
In the last days I've been thinking a lot about creating a train with a specific theme: the graphic adventures. I'm a longstanding graphic adventure's enthusiast and I simply love the good old point-and-click games... I've started with the Lucas Arts games (Monkey Island and Loom are definitely my favourites) a lot of years ago and since then I played almost every game present in this train (with only one big exception, but you'll know why reading the last game's description).
A big thank you to LostSoulVL that explained me step-by-step how to create a train: you had a ton of patience, mate! I really appreciated your help.
Here and there you'll find some QTE's games: they're not properly graphic adventures but I enjoyed a lot of them too (especially the Telltale games).
Last but not least: can you name in the comments your favourite graphic adventures? Maybe I could use some of your suggestions and add some new games to my wishlist.
Are you ready for this long train? It's the first one I created, so I hope I haven't made any mess. It's for level 3+ (except for the last three games that are lvl 4+) and it's protected with Sgtools. It will last one week.
ENJOY THE RIDE!
Thanks to Nudiustertian we have an extra cart for this train!
