Wish I could forget the whole plot and play it again like the first time.

Because I'm not into point and click games, I'll probably watch a playthrough. I love the stories these games are able to convey, but I don't have the patience for them :-(

Aw, pony island was good though. Was about to give some game suggestions that were like it if you also enjoyed it.
I'm not sure how to make out from the ones that you have on your list since some feels generic instead of "unique to be played blind", but i'll try to give some:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1372210/Dap
Horror - shooter. An atmospheric horror game. Not a story heavy game.
Ps: it is not scary compared to other horror games - just some "jumpscares" that are not gonna give you nightmares.

This one looks like a hacking game but with GUI instead of terminal, but you are not doing any actual hack. Kinda unique in the gameplay.
Also, based on your like list, you should try portal if you havent already. The have similar gameplay.

I'd be open to learning about others you feel are similar to Pony Island. I'm just not into games that have graphics that are, for lack of any other way to describe them, "screeching" at times. And the basic gameplay (trying to remember...it was a runner of sorts?) was extremely frustrating to me :-(
Dap and Greyhat, based on skimming the pages for like 10 seconds each, look like things I might enjoy. Thanks!
And I actually added the first Portal game to the list prior to seeing your message. Had to think back quite a bit and remember that it definitely fit the intent of this post. Good suggestion!

Are you talking about the screen glitches? Also, i see what you mean. The gameplay in pony island can be a bit repetitive since you'll play the same level several times.
Here are two that are similar to it. I'm not sure if you'll like it if you don't enjoy pony island though since they are similar in the "weird" department.

Starts from text adventure to qte battle game. Has some screen glitches and repetitive at times (especially the battle part), so you might not enjoy this.

It's a point and click game. Based on your list and few comments, i saw that you are quite done with them so i'm not sure how they'll fare to you.
If you like there is no game, there is the jam version of it in steam, which is free (or maybe you can try it first): https://store.steampowered.com/app/1241700/There_Is_No_Game_Jam_Edition_2015/
The first game is more like i can't describe the story or i'll spoil you (best not to read reviews deeply just in case) while the second one will entertain you on your first playthrough (again, it's best not to read story spoilers except for "there is no game", especially let's plays - you'll get spoiled by the gameplay). I would advise you to play the jam version instead of looking for reviews for there is no game, tbh.
Anyway, i'm glad that you are interested with the ones that i recommend! Hope you'll enjoy them :)
Portal is a good game :)
I've been looking for a few games that are like it as well and saw that your like list mentioned some of them, hahah.

Oh, I guess that is not what you meant. :D :D
I was going to say "The Witness", but you already said you did not get into it. Papo and Yo might fit your idea, or maybe Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons?
Cheers!

I enjoyed Papo and Yo as well as the Brothers one :-)

A Blind Legend

Initial response was it's not something I'd want to play, but the good reviews are strongly positive. What's presented as negatives are only slightly negative issues for me.
Fits the joke and serious response! Look at you, sly dog ;-)

I see Kathy Rain in your list, and although you said you probably won't play it, I can give you my honest opinion, which is that I really enjoyed the game, and the overall feel of the game. It's also fully voced.
And something new for you, Oxenfree, it is such an amazing and beautiful game. And if you enjoy it, Oxenfree 2 is on its way.

I see you have Jazzpunk on your list and I 100% recommend this beauty. It is one of the most bizarre games you will ever play, and I absolutely love it.
Also, Superliminal might be a fun one if you liked Antichamber and The Stanley Parable.

well you know what, lately i played divinity original sin 2 the 3rd time and had fun with testing different strategys. i enjoyed this rgp and it reminded me on tabletop games :D. fights are round based and for the first playthrough id say use one of the preset characters for special items/dialogues. if it is on sale (steam/gog) it costs around 18€

I am a huge sucker for tabletop games...recently just sold ~30 to make room for new additions to my addiction :-D

Death stranding, i found it to be a unique experience that i really enjoyed. I would come home frm work to play it immediately to get back into it.
Looking at discussions about it now, its either memed to a very simplistic sentence or recommended to simply get into it to enjoy the adventure

I've seen such mixed things about it, which upsets me. But I really have to pass on it for a purely stupid reason. And I know it's stupid. But I can't help it. I just can't look at Norman Reedus. He looks like he needs to bathe. And when I found out my SO started watching The Walking Dead like 4 years ago and had a MASSIVE crush I him, I was gutted lol
But I'll add it!

I've yet to play Inscryption, but based on the dev's history I'm very dubious - like yourself I thought Pony Island was nothing special, and his other title "The Hex" which received similar widespread acclaim was, in my opinion, almost unbearably bad.
Subnautica, on the other hand, is a magnificent game which is vastly improved by going in as blind as possible.

WHOA I had no idea it was the same guy as Pony Island!
But, as I described here, I wasn't a huge fan of Supergiant games and still loved Hades...so who knows? Played the demo of Inscryption, though, and I worry that I'll find the card game more frustrating than it's worth to endure it to see the rest. I think it's just not a today decision.

I haven't even tried the demo myself, but the huge problem I had with both Pony Island and The Hex was that the dev was convinced that intentionally horrible gameplay, visuals and audio design were not only acceptable, but actually served as the best medium for him to communicate his entirely unremarkable philosophical ideas about designing and playing games.
I'm still probably going to get around to playing Inscryption, but just from the conversation around it I can't help but expect it's going to be another clunky experience which says very little and feels extremely satisfied with itself for being so clever to do so...

So can't speak for The Hex, as I hadn't heard of it before you.
But the demo was fantastic. Some of the card game rounds felt unfair/unbalanced, but I think that was by intentional design (and not by "whoops I don't know how to balance it!" design). You get a few items to help you and I did end up using one at some point and wow was it...a bit of a surprise. I will say that walking around in the cabin is quite clunky, but thankfully there's no time constraint, at least during the small portion that I played.
Hopefully this one is worthy of the praise!

I know inscryption got trendy and very praised recently, i want to play it soon.
But i got a pretty good idea (and more then a few spoilers) watching playthroughs, and its on the shorter end play-once. Sure amazing with great ideas and unlike anything.
BUT
You havent played Subnautica?
In that case i have to vote Subnautica.
Its also unique, unlike any survival games (case in point: i hate survival games and love subnautica)...
...and is simply one of the best games ever made, one of my favorites of all time- and its long and replayable.
Ive played subnautica 2.5 times (had to stop one playthrough, real life) - and i already reinstalled for another go.
Real story: during the mad final year at uni i was suffering from burn down. I had panic attacks for the first time in my life.
I was near a total meltdown because of how much i had to do with so little time, little sleep and at risk of loosing everything (i forgot the term in english, i was granted free entry on a highly regarded institution way above what i could pay- as long as i kept high grades)
Then i bought subnautica.
Im not exagerating when i say Subnautica saved me from a complete meltdown.
I needed some sort of relief in any free time i had and nothing could turn off my mind from spining... but then i took a dive in a beautiful reef that was just the iceberg tip of a huge world.
People talk about how subnautica is also horror, and surely the depths can get under your skin... but for me those were brief moments, because even the deepest areas of subnautica were soothing for me.
Lights turned off, big monitor up close, i felt like was really diving in an alien world.
Add to that amazing building, intriguing story (it have one, a good one)... and freaking awesome vehicles. When i tought the game couldnt surprise me anymore suddenly i crafted the big submarine, it alone putting to shame most space ships in space faring games on how it was done, controlled and all features.
The game is freaking brilliant.
Inscryption deserves all the praise, id recommend it as much as subnautica... Get both.
But youre going to choose?
SUBNAUTICA first.

i hate survival games and love subnautica
Comments like these are what may tip the scale if it ends up close (it's 104/101 in favor of Inscryption at the moment) because I want to love them, but they tend to have design choices that I dislike.
Instead of responding point by point, let me just say thank you for sharing all of that. Life is awful sometimes. Case in point And having something that just not...real to help you along...wow does it make a difference.
It's weird: I'm not big on survival or water games (I tend to hate water levels in games), but I really want to play this and know nothing about it. I think it's gonna happen pretty soon.
Thank you, and welcome to the whitelist <3

As with movies, I love a game that is unique and is best experienced knowing nothing about it (aside from maybe genre or very light amount of premise).
A couple months ago, I played Return of the Obra Dinn and loved it. A few days ago I bought The Forgotten City and loved it as well (completed it this afternoon).
EDIT: The below lists are categorized for my tastes, but I'm trying to include everything that people have listed in case anyone else wants suggestions of this type.
Ones I want to play:
Alan Wake
Astroneer
Axiom Verge
Dap
Greyhat - A Digital Detective Adventure
Jazzpunk
Night in the Woods
No Man's Sky
The Norwood Suite
OneShot

Yakuza 0
Other's I've liked:

CrossCode
Cultist Simulator
Do Not Feed the Monkeys
Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist

Quantum Conundrum
QUBE

The Stanley Parable
Talos Principle
Thomas was Alone
The Turing Test
Games I need to look into:
A Blind Legend
Chicken Police - Paint It RED!
Haven
Paradise Lost
The Plan
Yuppie Psycho
Games that weren't for me:
Pony Island

Undertale I know :-(
The Witness (I love puzzles, but I was hoping for something a bit different - did enjoy watching a playthrough)
Haven't played, and likely won't:
Death Stranding
Doki Doki Literature Club (I know THE thing, but that's not a genre I'm into)
Don't Escape: 4 Days to Survive
Frog Fractions
Gemini Rue
Her Story (knew the gameplay wasn't for me, but did enjoy watching a playthrough)
Kathy Rain

A Normal Lost Phone
