Fake giveaways

If you win a fake giveaway, I think i might have as the person is new and but has put up 100 dollars worth of games and just says i love this game, no proof of having the game. I hate to sound greedy, but the sadness of winning a giveaway and finding out that it is fake is overwhelming. You get so excited and hyped up that you won and then you find its fake. If this happens, heres the part that makes me sound like a douche, I think if you win a giveaway, say for the ship, and it is fake, you should automatically win another giveaway for the ship, and remove all other entries for that giveaway. That way you still get your prize and others dont get the false feeling of having a chance because they are removed. Discuss, ask questions and improve on my idea.

EDIT(better idea): Or, if someone puts up a giveaway they should have the option of making it, for people who didn't get that game, and they should have. They could make some anti-abusing system

More annoying than not getting the game from a fake giveaway is to realise the guy who won your legit giveaway has a dummy account (gift farmer). Happened to me recently. Fortunatly, I didn't send him the gift and got the giveaway rerolled. I think loko banned him. Sad thing is the guy already had 4 wins on that account, so I guess not everyone making giveaways checks for their winner's profiles.

Well then people would be making fake giveaways for friends and then get a game of someone else. Could easily be beaten and mis-used.

Honestly I don't see why private giveaways generate contributions, you are not contributing to the site only to people you know, there for you shouldn't get contribution points to enter contributor giveaways of people you would of never gave away anything to.

Maybe just when you create a giveaway, you should have the ability to acces your steam inventory within the site and Drag and drop the copy of the game you're gifting ? And that way, when a giveaway is done, the game is sent through mail or SG can create a bot which can be added on friends. Anyways, it's a raw idea ...
