Well, I achieved my commitment of one year of work without surrendering; tho I wasn't renewed, there were times I thought I would leave without finishing the first year.

I already have Mad Kombat, but I think I'll enter for Mortal Max. Thanks and happy festivus!

I opened at least 50 jars of foie gras on Xmas eve. Does that count? (It was at work. I don't eat foie gras)

Happy Festivus and Merry Brianmas

I don't eat foie gras

Good and +1

It's a daily animal abuse to force feed the geese, so ill that the liver are in the end swollen to 20x the size of a normal one.

I hope you had a Merry Brianmas :o)

Our chef only sources cruelty free foie gras and ethically harvested caviar so that's not an issue here (the price reflects it, let me tell you XD).
I'm just not a fan of fat overdose in general (I don't even like chocolate)
I do agree that it's unconscionable that caviar and foie gras are still mass produced to stay on the shelves when there are cruelty-free methods that have been tried and proven. That's the craziness of the food industry.

I hope you had a Merry Brianmas :o)

I did thank you. I hope yours went well and that the end of the year is treating you alright until the new year kicks all of our asses XD

Our chef only sources cruelty free foie gras

How is this possible ?
As far as i know are the foie gras fat liver, up to 20x the size of a normal/healthy one. No animal eat by free will so much stuff that it's organs are extreme ill and don't stop with it. Or at least i can't assume/believe that a animal would be so dumb (they are much smarter as humans -with hearing on their body...-).

So i am confused now if a foie gras you speak about isn't 20x the size and only normal size or what exactly is different.

Please give me more insight. It's always good to learn something.

How is this possible ?

There are several methods that have proven efficient. The one we source with is literally just using the natural process of free range geese gorging themselves on nature before winter. It takes longer to reach "maturity" and it's not like it's vegan because, well, the geese still die at the end of the story, but they eat by themselves. No force feeding.
This guy was the one who started the "trend" a few years back.

No animal eat by free will so much stuff that it's organs are extreme ill

Actually it all started with a natural process. Geese and duck and a few other migratory birds are indeed overfeeding before winter and keep fatty reserves in their distended liver. They don't make themselves sick. Their system works differently than ours.
However over time (and I think it dates back all the way to the Egyptians and then Romans brought it all over Europe), people started "replicating" the process in a much shorter time, force-feeding the animals and not really caring that it was painful and unnatural.
And then the food industry made it worse by adding their usual greed and overproduction to the mix.

Happy festivus!
I think the closest thing to a feat of strength I did this year was helping my mom move office, had to carry a bunch of furniture, some of it actually heavy.
BTW I haven't watched Seinfeld since the 90's when it was on air, and I was just a kid, so I legit don't remember most episodes and I'm assuming festivus was just yet another one of Kramer's insane shenanigans XD

George's father's crazy shenanigans. The feat of strength involves the head of the household wrestling their chosen opponent until one is pinned.

There is also the airing of grievances, where you tell everyone how they have disappointed you over the previous year. The pole is purely decorative, but remains unadorned because tinsel is distracting.

^^^ been helping my parents move and clean stuff for the last week... im sooo tired and sore.....
helped them move a new fridge into the house they purchased off facebook marketplace
spent 6+ hours cleaning the entire thing, plugged it in only to find out it doesnt work....
the guy must have put ice inside the icemaker and fridge to give it the appearance of working....
because all the fans, the compressor, and lights work.
spent ages trying to figure out whats wrong with the fridge because electronically everything appears to be working and the self diagnostic says nothing is wrong, but its just not getting cold....
now they have negative 1 fridges so not only do they still need to get a new fridge, but we have to deal with this (╯°□°)╯︵ broken one

I'm not an expert on fridges but the two things that tend to fail are the compressor and/or a gas leak. The compressor is just a motor that has to be replaced, but finding the correct one can be a bit of a headache. And a gas leak can range from just needing to track down where the hole is, patching it, and then charging the gas again to it being an unrepairable issue and you might as well throw the whole thing in the trash.
A technician should be able to diagnose it in like 15 minutes.
I've never owned one of the fancy "smart" fridges that can self diagnose themselves but I'm pretty sure that the electronic parts are kinda BS since a fridge is a mostly mechanical thing, kinda like how in an AC the electronic parts are just a tiny motherboard that can be easily replaced by a third party one when it gets fried.
