Right click on the link that says "Get Chrome addon" or "Download here" or whatever and click "Save link as...", then navigate to where it was downloaded.
Next, go to chrome and type into the browser bar: chrome://chrome/extensions/ (copypaste if needed)
Then drag and drop your downloaded SG Addon into the chrome://chrome/extensions/ page. It should ask if you really want to do this, click yes (obviously) and you're done. It's installed. May need to reboot Chrome for changes to occur.

Well, thank you. I guess late last night I was not thinking. I kept dragging the download from chrome download toolbar, not the folder I saved it to. To be honest though, it seems that the install window you have to drag to has a very small activation area.

I am sure this has been talked about, but I googled it like crazy and cannot find an answer. I have tried manually adding the SG enhancements addon into Chrome, adding it via the drag and drop method (which just shows code on the browser window) and nothing is working, any ideas?
