Some TV shows I like:
Spartacus - it starts at its worst, I recommend to watch at least until "The Thing in the Pit" (Fourth episode I think?) if you don't like the first episode.
Narcos - this is a recent one I absolutely love. Wagner Moura is killing it as Escobar.
Misfits - at least the first season, maybe the second? Then cast started leaving and it turned bad I heard.
Z Nation - The Walking Dead's low budget, much much less serious and more fun cousin.

Almost everything that I can think of someone already said.
So... I liked Red Band Society. There are several versions of it, I watched the US one. Too bad it was cancelled, but it's worth it IMO.

Sherlock
Game of Thrones
The walking dead
Fear the walking dead
Grimm
Dead like me
Buffy the Vampire slayer
Angel
Breaking Bad
Dexter
John Doe
Firefly
And for some laughs:
The big bang theory
Modern Family

A lot of good shows have already been said, but here's another one : Preacher ! It's currently running (4 episode thus far) and it's based on a comic (which I haven't read). It's AMC (The Walking Dead) who's producing it :) And an other good show from AMC, "Into the badlands". I just finished the first season, it's a really great "martial art" show. Next season will air in 2017 :'(

Vicious
Probably the best "traditional" British sitcom we'll see this decenium, centered around a quibbling couple played by none other than Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Derek Jacobi.

Well, I'm no fan, or anything, but it's still a unique show, that takes itself not too serious, and that shines over. One of my favorite episode was the one when they "get out" of the show, to realize, they are only stars in a show :) But despite having many meh episodes, you still can't find a show quite like it. Yes, a Supernatural game would be immensely fun. With local, online coop, and if you play single player, you get to switch characters on will. Hmm. Let's send the idea to them :P

Yeah, Groundhog Day, and that episode was golden too. True, it sucks that licensed games are almost all terrible, and fan made ones are shot down, with a few exceptions. Well, one can hope though :D
Also, I recommend Gotham too. Essentially, it's Batman, without Batman. :)

unique show? they combined only 2 successful series, which were finished shortly before (X-Files+Buffy)
Supernatural is okay and viewable but from Season 4-6 -> you wish your time back that you waste when you have all 11 seasons
have watched. if you have watched many of the series that have been aired in the 90s until the beginning of the 2000s. Then you have seen it all before in other series. Even unique appearing characters like Castiel compare him with Teal’c form SG1... Crowley = Ba'al (SG1) / Spike (Buffy) you will find the exact counterpart for everything. Well, that can be found in many series but Supernatural do that on a new level which makes it quite boring for me.
If you have nothing else to watch, Supernatural is a good bridging Otherwise I would skip the series as long as i could
And the endless whining of the two just suck particularly because both are not very good actors

Watch Married with Children and you'll get to know more things about USA (if you aren't from USA already). xD Very awesome and funny tv series.

It has officially been a day since I created my Whitelist giveaway (https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/2msgO/red-faction-guerrilla-steam-edition). Here is my second Whitelist recruitment! What are some TV shows I should watch to become a more cultured person (mainstream TV shows, old shows that are still talked about, etc.)? The first ten people to comment with a TV show will be added to my Whitelist.
Whitelist recruitment has ended, but TV show recommendations are still welcome!
