Should I keep this going after the current GAs are done?
Mid-week progress update:
Things seem to be going well so far, not 100% sure of where exactly this is going but it's taking shape. Still don't know what I'm going to do about the colors/textures or the background tho. It's also not as low-poly as I originally planned.

Progress update 2:
After the previous update I got stuck, guess I jinxed it, and didn't really started to make any progress untill yesterday. I think I got it back on track now, at least I kinda know what aesthetic I'm going for, it will take a few more days to finish it tho. I like how I've only used 5 flat colors as materials so far and it already gets the idea accross.

Update 3:
I abandoned the last thing I was doing cos I got tired of it, will probably finish it at some point later (included are the most recent screenshots from 2 weeks ago). 1 - 2
Also spent like a week messing around with something that I had no plan when I started it, it ended up being a gif, I learned that animations are a pain to make even if they're super simple and just 12 frames total. But I'm definitely gonna try again with something more complicated, it's pretty fun regardless of difficulty. 1 - 2
Then I was checking the stuff I already posted here and decided to finish this, can't let it half done forever. Made some progress so far but I also realised that I have to redo quite a few things if I want the shadows to make sense. 1 - 2

Update 4:
Hi, seems like the GAs haven't gotten any entry in almost a day so I guess that's enough of an excuse to bump the thread make an update on what I'm currently doing.
So I've been polishing some stuff, a.k.a. obsessing over tiny details, mostly shading. I'm also recycling the piece to do double duty as a cakeday thingy, cos this time it ain't sneaking on me again, so I ended up with so many layers and it causes the program I'm using to cry in agony every now and then. Don't push a thing made with sprite animations in mind to do a multi-layered piece at a quarter of full HD like I did, it won't appriciate it.

Nicely done. I personally suck at any form of visual arts so I truly have great admiration for people who can do anything with it.

The cubes one is 16:9 so it could work that way, unlike a few that I made with the game gear resolution that has some odd aspect ratio. The architectural thingy was an actual model I had to do for a class ages ago and I remade it in 3D years later before throwing away the original (it broke).

I like the left side of the first one (red lanterns) a lot. It would probably make a nice phone/game/video background. I think it would look cool if the super tiny boxes were replaced with white/yellow stars. Anyway, keep up the good work!

For a few months I've been thinking about making a thread to post the few images I've done that I sorta feel I can show without embarrasing myself too much, however I kept procrastinating about it. I know I could just post it in a site dedicated to it but I'm only really active on this forum and I've seen other people do similar things and I think this is still within the guidelines.
So I finally managed to motivate myself to do this thread because I ended up with a lot of keys (were a pain to catalogue) to give away after the halloween thingy that GMG did, an excuse is an excuse and it's not like I can make my reputation around here too much worse by posting crappy images. The first week will be just the GMG stuff, then I'll continue with some old bundle keys I have lying around.
The idea is to keep this thread alive by adding giveaways AND whatever I happen to make, as in to push myself to finish things so I can post them here in a weekly (probably a bit longer knowing my speed) basis. I hope to keep this going at least untill the end of the month before giving up.
