The EU one doesn't even recognize my NA account as existing, so they seem to use entire different databases. I can't find an NA listing equivalent for it, either. So if you really want to jump on it, could consider VPNing an alt account onto the EU site.
Really been wanting to drag my best friend (ie, my dedicated co-op partner) into this series, hopefully this is a sign that we'll get a good NA/ROW/WW offer of some sort soon. Man of Medan's definitely old enough now, with plenty of sequels and successors, so it wouldn't be weird to see it given away free without restriction soon. With that in mind, and given that the giveaway here has a greater than zero chance at providing region restricted keys, it might not be worth the hassle of fighting for the keys now, even for those of us super eager for the game.

Umm, no they don't always exclude the Americans, they have a separate site for NA, like when they gave away Little Nightmares, separating the EU and NA giveaway.
They do, however keep excluding some SEA countries.
Like when this game was in HB Choice, it got replaced with another game, if they have any game in a regular HB bundle, that get is not included.
If there's a Bandai Namco sale on third party sites like HB or Fanatical, that sale is not available for some SEA countries.

Increasingly region locks nonsense, from humble and elsewhere, the raising prices and then things like this- completely arbitrary, as they dont spend anything to generate codes. I dont know what goes in their heads with all this regional nonsense but i know what goes in players heads and the result is the opposite.
I dont like the Epic Launcher, but to this day i never stumbled on not claimable free promotions nor even a 'not available in your region' on their store. Slowly and unwillingly i have to admit theyre gaining me a bit, and ironically a good deal of it isnt on epic (with the still barebones launcher) but on steam, regional nonsense and on publishers.
Publishers that btw also sell on the Epic Store without this kind of regional nonsense so... what gives?

I have. Thing is - you won't even see the free game if it's not available for you (I only found out about that thanks to the thread here). Also, once they "refunded" the free game because the regional restrictions were set by the publisher after the fact.

I could understand law banned things- i may not agree with but things like germany banning any depiction of the nazi symbol and such(wich idk if its still a thing) makes sense, only the biggest publishers willing to spend to cash to censor or workaround, their hands forced and such.
