Epizode II is much more better than epizode I, sadly it uses same game engine and... WTF Is worng wiht soundtrack? It is short and repetative lol. Even sonic games on sgea had batter ones, than these crap soundtrack in each level. And boss music are same whitch i don't like. Oh one more thing: Finaly some speed!
Oh 2: complete a game and dont turn it again. Better do all Sonic Gnerations arhcievemnts(if you haven't).
Oh 3: Special stage from Sonic 2 is so easy on this game. it is too wide not to see all rings.

So, I've just played almost 3 hours in this game non-stop and wanted to share my opinion. I just feel that should tell my feelings to someone, but since none of my friends are sonic fans and writing a post on a local sonic fansite is stupud (you get a lot of hate for having your own opinion), I decided to stop here.
So yes, the following text is entirely my own opinion on the game based on my first impressions. I want to listen to your opinions too, so I ask you to write them down below too ^^
Sonic 4 is bad port, it really is. But I haven't had much trouble with the first game. This one however punched me right in the face as soon as I started playing. Everything was at 200% speed. Like there's no FPS limit. Needless to say it's pretty much unplayable like that. So I looked at the options only to find, well, two options: to select my graphics card and resolution. So I tried a windowed mode and it worked somehow. Another problem I have with both ports is controls. Apparantly Sonic Team thinks that keyboards are made of coloured squares, or they were to lazy to put actual keyboard images in the game for contols. Whatever, let's get to the actual game.
The graphics are certainly better (no more shiny Sonic, thank God), but I still can't enjoy them (as said before, playing in windowed mode). The music is worse. All the melodies in game so far are not memorable and still played with dying cats synth. Boss fight is especially annoying. It's the old Episode 1 2nd Phase Boss Fight music, just with new layers to it. Still sounds clown-y and rapes your ears.
As for the gameplay itself. While character physics are definately better, ring physics are the same, rings still fly so far you can't catch them when you get hit. New friendship mechanic was kinda used in Sonic Generations but got an upgrade in this game, and those new abilities are actually useful. It is bad at the same time, look at speedruns on youtube, players are abusing these abilities every 5 seconds. Level designers are dicks (I'm sorry). Remember that one pit for Sonic 3 & Knuckles that likes to torture you before killing you? There's a simillar thing in this game. Sky Fortress zone is especially filled with dickish moments. The Boss Fights got much more interesting. Eggman machines are just EPIC and I loved battling those. While Metal Sonic battles made me rage because of some dickish attacks of his.
Now, my question is, do you share my opinion, do you think that I should give it a second chance? And sorry for the wall of text.
