You can ask us in the forums all you want, we are not your enemy nor is support. They are doing the best any support can do. We do not appreciate it as much as they do not. i have been using this site for more than 2 years, in maximum 1 week i was getting a reply from support, sometimes i did not even need to contact they were removing these fake reputations themselves. but its the 3rd time i get a negative reputation from people with no reputation. i reported this guy like 5 months ago and i am still waiting for support to answer me atleast, i remember it was mentioned in the FAQ that feedback is only based on trade experience not behavior or any other thing.

I have never contacted support in the 3 YEARS I have been here and if I did I never felt the need to voice my gripe in public. I don't care what your issue is nor want to pat your ass to help you feel better about it. I stated my opinion on the matter and I suggest you read it a few times until it sinks in. Support will get back with you when they can, I am not a therapist just because I replied to your thread and I am not the kind of individual that cares at all. I do not get paid $60 an hour to listen to your issues.

most times people give negative feedback for being rude (even if doesn't make any sence) but if happened again you might wanna start showing a little respect to people, be patient and dont rush anything

because they are the most rude and ignorant people from all the steam community, seriously, i tried to build some good rep on csgolounge and for nothing! i got -rep'd while i did not even had any trades active, and the best part! i never leave any offers to avoid being -rep'd for no reason and i'm never rude to anyone that add me
basically everyone that trade often will get some negative rep eventually, it's like a battle scar :P

its not me showing or not showing respect, check the profile of people who are spamming neg feedback on my account, its complete new acount and i dont even know one of them i never saw a post from that guy on my topics but i have got a negative feedback? and again today i sign in and see a new negative feedback from another NEW account on this site....

when someone add's you and starts being rude you first say "could you please stop being rude? otherwise there will be no trade...", if they insist just remove and block them (also take a printscreen of the chat for future proofs, i have a lot of those :P)

Support does not come down hard enough on trade feedback rule breakers.
I also maintained that cg should have implemented a script that whoever posts feedback on my profile; whether it be positive or negative, should get a warning they'll receive an automatic 5 day suspension.

Back then ST had a dedicated moderator. Now the whole site has two active mods and two who are mostly inactive (as far as I know). I guess the situation is about to change, when they start sorting out new user roles.

i think they should just make one rule that you only and only are able to post feedback if you have made a trade with them within last 5 minutes. since there is something called Sync then it should also work for this part

There's no way of monitoring that. The site can't know if you traded, what you traded and did you activate it or kept for retrading.

Same problem here. A fake -rep feedback has been setting on my account for 3 months now. Support is doing nothing about it.
The problem is, I am now actually afraid to leave a negative feedback at someone.
Even if they deserve it, the chance is very real that the give you a revenge feedback in return. And with no system in place to remove those false feedbacks, honest traders get hurt by it.

I don't get it. On the one hand hand you claim that rep must only be used for rating a real trade, come here bitching about how unfair everyone is towards you. But on the other hand you do the same thing for base motives (aka revenge) and -rep all of them.
Just prove them wrong and let support handle the rest - even if it takes a while.

dont get it wrong this is not revenge rep, if someone gives you negative rep u have to give them back otherwise it means they are right giving u -rep. a person with no reputation should not be allowed to post feedback at all. if i just post on your wall you are scammer with no reason then you would do nothing about it? if u dont do anything about it people think then i was right calling you scammer cause u didnt post back on my wall to explain the reason

You should write in the end of your trade-post something like: "about my -rep... blablabla... explain what happened, with links\proof"

Out of 4 mods drowning in tickets, there is only one currently able to take care of rep removal. Things were a lot better when there was mods that were exclusively handling Steamtrades but as the community grew bigger, the support team actually got smaller. cg has updated the support roles and is supposed to take on more staff so I'm hoping things will start to improve shortly.
As far as your -rep goes. I know it sucks but there isn't much you can do for now. And honestly, anyone who takes 2 seconds to look at them will quickly ignore it.

Many got fed up I think as thing slowly became unmanageable. Or life got in the way and they couldn't be active on the site much anymore. We should not forget that everyone in the support team are unpaid volunteers who does this on their spare time.

which fake feedback do u mean from me? i have posted on their profiles that i do not know them and they have given me negative reputation, and the second guy i added him to see what is his reason before i post anything back to him but he blocked me and i checked all my replies there was not even a single line that he dropped for me or i dropped for him that he is telling me i gave him shit cause of his offer :/ but hopefully i do not trade CD keys and i do not trade untradeable games at any cost so giving me these fake negative feedbacks wont affect anything. but thanks for taking time and reading the post :) gl in trading and i hope u dont face people like i did

a new member comes here and gives me negative feedback fro denying his offer and then he spams my post and when i rage at him he makes 2nd account to give me negative feedback on my profile, i remember steamtrades.com admins were removing feedbacks which was not based on trade experience but now i am waiting for 5-6 months to see my fake reputations to get deleted and now i see another new negative reputation added to my profile from noob traders... he is offering 10 cards for a 5 key game and ideclined by sarcasm and i got a negative rep.... seriously?
