I understand Telltale are working on Series 2 of the Walking Dead, as well as The Wolf Among Us, but I think it would be amazing if they made a 5 episode series based on Star Trek: The Next Generation, where you could play as a different member of the crew each episode, much like how certain episodes in the series would focus on a specific character on TV. I also think making a 5 episode series of Firefly would work well as well.

So, What TV show/Movie/Comic do YOU think Telltale should make into a point and click episodic series?

I'm with everyone who said "The Wire" and "Breaking Bad", but I'll throw out another: "Deadwood".

Gonna be the one who points out that telltales walking dead game wasn't based on a tv/movie.

  • Venture Bros
  • Evil Dead

These go without saying, especially seeing that characters from them would be guests in Poker Night 2. But then again, so was Tycho in the first game, and they ain't making any Penny Arcade games.

Oh, and

  • Fringe

But maybe I just want to see a game series that has you solve the X-Files, but is better than those subpar X-files games that exist...

Brought up in another thread, but I'll mention it here, too. Final Destination.

Think about it - play switches off between death and the teens. It starts with you playing as Death who sets off the huge death scene at the beginning that turns out to be a premonition. Play then switches to the teen, where you have to figure out how to stop people from doing whatever it was that killed them. Play then switches off between Death, where you set the scene and try to stop the hero from saving the next in line. Then play switches to the hero who has to escape after failing to rescue his friend. After a few rounds of this, you play as the hero who has to figure out that only new life can stop Death, so he has to set up his own death scene and make sure it kills him, but that he can still be revived. Death and the Hero battle to try and tilt the rube goldberg death machine to be completely fatal or only partially fatal. Perhaps there can even be multiple endings and you pick which side you want to play during the climax.

Okay. Now I actually REALLY want that game. I kind of think of it like a turn based game.

Dexter or Wizard of Oz. Both based on the books rather than TV show or movie.

Evil dead/army of darkness or an episodic game based on the their worlds. The comic Hack/slash, Scott Pilgrim (yes I know there is an already amazing game version of the comic but a more story oriented version would be epic as well).

Cosmos!

I don't watch TV at all though, and I don't watch many action/adventure movies any more so dunno many that I do watch that would make for a good game. I won't lie though, a Star Wars or Lord of the Rings game by Telltale would make me hard (unoriginal choices, I realize)

Definitely Evil Dead. After playing The Walking Dead, I have full confidence that they could pull it off well.

Only if they could get Bruce Campbell's voice. I can't even play Poker Night 2 cause his Ash's voice is so botched.

Of Course! Quantum leap is an excellent idea for a Telltale series, so long as they got Scott Bakula for the voice of Sam. Pinky and the Brain would also be amazing of course :)
