I've just recently started back on this site and started gifting more, so I don't have much gifting history so I understand if I cannot accepted but I'd like to say that I love the idea of this group and would love to join if ever given the chance! So I will send a request but if rejected, no harm done!

Hello and sorry for the late reply. I'm not inviting you for now, but I will happy to give a second look after more SG activity on your side :) Have a great day and thanks for your interest

Hi and thanks for your interest. Also sorry for the late reply :)
I'm updating the recruitement process: it will be discussed between members, invitation (if any) will be issued at the end of the month. Thanks for your understanding.

Sounds like a nice idea and I've basically already been doing most of my giveaways like that for the last 8 years or so (with a single game as an exception, but no matter how many times I buy that one I just can't justify activating it for myself... the probably-annoying wall of text still gets included though)... but I really can't afford a group with mandatory giveaways, even if it's every other month. And if I could, I'd prefer to include the other groups, which I've decided in my head have similar ideals, plus the nice people list without having to worry about being penalized for it.
So, yeah...
But if you decide to add a "Gifting Only" option where I can only do giveaways (but they can be whenever) and the winner still needs to play it then I'd love to use this as a sort of middle ground between Playing Appreciated and Playing Matters. ^_^

Hi Zlia, and thanks for your proposal. I'm not totally against it, but that would mean that you would be a member forbidden to enter group GAs. If that's ok for you, then it should be possible. Adding some reminder in your shared GAs would be good, so a group member who would win would not forget to gives you feedback on the game...
If you send a join request, I'll accept it :)

No worries- I try to strictly keep track of any group giveaways I might enter so I should be able to avoid the ones I'm not supposed to touch. Normally I assume others do the same, but I guess I could include an Awkward PS with a reminder or something a few times... just in case. ^_^'
Thank you. :)

Hello. I'm interested, if you will have me
Thanks!

Hello and thanks for your interest ! Since you are (almost) a new user on SG, so without a long gifting history, I need to think a bit. I'm coming back to you privately in the upcoming days.

I guess it's my loss that I have group recruitments hidden, but now it accidentally resurfaced on the main page's footer.
I want to apply!
The original concept of Unlucky Gifters of the Dice with unbundled games was super stressful for my past self. Without that limitation (and with a much better, stable background for me) and the emphasis on favourite games, and gifting experiences this group feels like an amazing place :)

Hi, blueheart ! Thanks, I'll send an invitation by the end of the month, so you can join next month victims pool :)

Hey there! This sounds kind of like Playing Appreciated and those sort of groups, so it's right in my alley! I'm not sure if this thread is dead or not, but I'd like to join if possible :)

Hi and thanks for your interest ! Thread and group are not dead, it's just that I almost don't bump it myself :) I'll be inviting you by the end of the month.

I would like to apply as well. I have a few games that I have played, that I would love to give away.

Hello and thanks for your interest ! I need to think a bit regarding your non bundle history, I'm coming back to you privately in the upcoming days.
By the way your nickname rings a bell to me, do you remember us being in contact in the past ?

Mmm. Yours ring a bell also. Maybe we talked before.

Hello, while you are quite new on SG, your profile has already a generous history, so I'll sent an invite by the end of the month. Wish me good luck for the 2 hours session I have at work today with people from your country, it will be an english-speaking afternoon :)

Hmm, I would be interested, but I haven't been that long here (yet^^).
There are a few games I really enjoyed and I am also interested in why other people liked specific games, but if I should reapply a few months later I wouldn't take it personally :)

Hi Pebbletool, while you are not old (yet) in the SG community, you have already a good gifting history, so I'll be happy to invite you at the end of the month. Have a great day :)

Hello lovely SG people
I've been thinking about creating a GA group since a long time, and I'm wondering if people here would be interested.
I'd like to use a mechanic I loved in a now inactive old group called Unlucky Gifters of the Dice, but with a few differences that matters.
Main principle: each month, some members are randomly selected, a third of the group. These members must make a GA. They can't be selected the next month. On the other side, any member can enter any GA without restrictions or ratio to keep up with. That's for the basics, and that's more or less the rules of the group I talked about before.
Now something new: the selected members have to make a GA, but not a random one. They will have to giveaway a game they played and really enjoyed, and tell in the GA description why they loved this game so much. Not asking for a big wall of text, but some effort has to be done so people enter the GA for actually playing the game and, in the end, everyone knows a bit about the tastes and feelings of the gifter.
A giftee should also post a message to the GA creator within 2 months, to tell this person if he enjoyed or not the game, and why.
Group rules can be seen there: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/lucklovegamers/discussions/0/3004424478070545233/
Feelings and opinions are welcome.
For the beginning at least, I would like to invite only people with a generous gifting history / ratio. The reason behind this will is that the rules would be easy to circumvent by greedy people: it should rely on everybody's fairness, which would be easier with proven fair people.
I'll be happy to read any thoughts on this. Group is now live, and the first roll came around december 1st. For people willing the see the kind of GAs made, in full transparency: https://www.steamgifts.com/group/9etPQ/lucklovegamers
If you want to join, please post a message here first. While I will be checking direct join requests in Steam, there are odds that I'll just dismiss them if they don't come from a known person.
Update: to people willing to join, please post a message there and your membership will be discussed internally with actual members (if I have time to make it happen, or still a random dictatorial decision from me ^^). Invitations will be sent (or join request granted) on the last days of each month.
