Hello lovely SG people

I've been thinking about creating a GA group since a long time, and I'm wondering if people here would be interested.
I'd like to use a mechanic I loved in a now inactive old group called Unlucky Gifters of the Dice, but with a few differences that matters.

Main principle: each month, some members are randomly selected, a third of the group. These members must make a GA. They can't be selected the next month. On the other side, any member can enter any GA without restrictions or ratio to keep up with. That's for the basics, and that's more or less the rules of the group I talked about before.

Now something new: the selected members have to make a GA, but not a random one. They will have to giveaway a game they played and really enjoyed, and tell in the GA description why they loved this game so much. Not asking for a big wall of text, but some effort has to be done so people enter the GA for actually playing the game and, in the end, everyone knows a bit about the tastes and feelings of the gifter.
A giftee should also post a message to the GA creator within 2 months, to tell this person if he enjoyed or not the game, and why.

Group rules can be seen there: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/lucklovegamers/discussions/0/3004424478070545233/
Feelings and opinions are welcome.

For the beginning at least, I would like to invite only people with a generous gifting history / ratio. The reason behind this will is that the rules would be easy to circumvent by greedy people: it should rely on everybody's fairness, which would be easier with proven fair people.

I'll be happy to read any thoughts on this. Group is now live, and the first roll came around december 1st. For people willing the see the kind of GAs made, in full transparency: https://www.steamgifts.com/group/9etPQ/lucklovegamers

If you want to join, please post a message here first. While I will be checking direct join requests in Steam, there are odds that I'll just dismiss them if they don't come from a known person.

Update: to people willing to join, please post a message there and your membership will be discussed internally with actual members (if I have time to make it happen, or still a random dictatorial decision from me ^^). Invitations will be sent (or join request granted) on the last days of each month.

Haven't there been rule that only unbundled games can be giveawayed?

Not in this group - the first comment from eeev and the reply to that shows that being unbundled is not a requirement for the group (unlike it was for Unlucky Gifters of the Dice)

Hi I'm pretty new but I really like the concept. I would love to see people play my favorite games. If I'm not eligible yet, that's fine just let me know please :)

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I've sent you a friend request, so we can talk directly.

That's a lovely idea and I like it, but the main problem for me is the region-locks. I don't like looking for global keys on some shady sites, so I either gift directly on steam or just buy random bundles on Fanatical. I agree with PossiblePsycho on this, the number of games I truly love is really low and I would also have to look for the specific type of keys on random sites that have a history of selling stolen keys. It's possible that none of my money will get to the people who worked hard on the game I love.
Bump, but I'm not going to join.

Edit: It seems that you are trying to join many groups today, therefore I don't have much faith in your genuine interest for this one. I can also see that your last GA is a year and an half old. Sorry, but I can't invite you for now. Feel free to apply again after a few months of activity...
