I think I've got the password but where do I put it?

You need to look in different direction... You are trying to reproduce challenge phrase in password field that is why you are missing d and t...

Okay, some progress, thank you! I laid out the progression, and understood WHY the two letters couldn't be found. However, when I tried to enter the resulting code where needed, I received an error. I did try entering the codes manually, and copying them - still no dice. Maybe the encoding matters?

Get us the corresponding password.
I see people posting "Solved", but not including their solution in their response.
So, is it that correct resolution results in a link or HTML form presented by the gonk-gadget, and submitting their answer that way?
Are those who posted "Solved" just wanting to do the puzzle because they don't want to take the prize?

Those who solved the puzzle were able to construct the url to the giveaway. Many are sharing their approach/solution in the GA comments. Posting it here would destroy the puzzle.
People are bumping the thread for 1) bragging rights 2) letting others know that it's solvable 3) keeping an active puzzle GA visible for other forum users

I do it for reasons 2 and 3 and I usually try to leave a small hint on how to solve the puzzle, even if it's too subtle sometimes. Others seem to like to do that, too.

I'm missing 3 letters, but have oduplicates of others. But I'm also on a German keyboard, so I think I'm shit outta luck :(

Spent a day learning assembly before I figured out how much more simple the solution really was. Oh well, time learning new skills is never time wasted!
Bump!

Listen choom,
You've made an impression, but Pixie says we got to make sure you're on the level - mentally like.
She recently got hold of some antique tech-gadget, and now she is asking you to make sense of this thing. The thing is pretty simple: type in a challenge phrase, and it generates a password response.
She says people used this kind of shit as 'virtual password tokens' way back. Net systems greeted you with a challenge phrase, you typed it into your gadget, and whatever it spilled back at you was your password to log in at that time.
Sounds pretty gonk to us today, ik. However. Pixie says it's a good opportunity for you to show that you have some brains.
Your challenge phrase is: judgment
Get us the corresponding password.
We sabotaged the thing so it would not process any of the letters in your phrase. It'll just barf up an error if you try. Oh, and Pixie says it's also allergic to the letter 'o', for some reason.
Tell us what password should correspond to your challenge phrase. Deduce its inner workings. Do what you have to do. Break the thing if you need to. Just get us the correct password.
No point in calling us again, if you can't figure it out.
Good luck, choom!
