Should people read giveaway descriptions as a show of respect for the giveaway creator?
I always make a point of reading the giveaway description. As far as I am concerned if you don't have time to read what someone posted while offering YOU the chance to win a free game, then you don't have time to enter the giveaway either.
Level 5 hopefully in a month or two depending on moneys. Soon....Soon....

Ouch, that hit me! :(
So guess I'll explain it and ask for an apology :)
On weekends I often have very little time and I'm on mobile only - that's right - no computer on weekends (mostly).
My galaxy S2 bugs way too often right now. Whatsapp is fine, but browsing websites can be a pain in the.. :P
So with the little time I have, I join group/whitelist GAs, often overlooking the describtion.
Wasn't meant to be ungrateful, I probably just haven't seen it :)
Love all your GAs and hope you like a fancy lama ^_^

I can't say if that's appropriate or not [I mean, really- that's a hard consideration that I haven't given near enough time], but it seems the timing of the giveaway was against you, in that case :X
I do make notes in a user's tags if they comment regularly and contributively, however, so I can't guarantee your usually-unable-to-comment circumstances won't poke at the matter again in the future.
While we're on the topic, you're over-ratio for PosTho, you have three days to correct that or face a temporary ejection from the group. Please make sure not to accept any PosTho wins during this period, without attempting to fix your ratio, as that'll lead to a permanent ejection.
In any case, thank you for taking the time to offer an explanation! :)

Last bit of the OP.
Unlocking a few games for giveaway, just a fun little event to help prevent people from having to call themselves out.
Each post without an image both doesn't count toward the required comments for unlock, and adds 1 to the total required.
Well, it's part of the game, so it's not like it's a bad thing. Back-and-forths are always fun :)

Noes, it's quite the opposite to what I wanted to achieve D:
Also about entering without reading descriptions - I like to read them always when I'm on my PC. But sometimes when I'm on my mobile keyboard f**** up really badly and it doesn't want to show after touching screen in text box area. Or it shows, allows me to type "Yeah I k", hides itself and I'm not able to end my sentence or just delete this something that is typed inside, so I;m leaving GA without writing anything. And I sometimes forget to enter into this GA once again when I'm on my PC to write a comment ^_^'

Pretty sure you're safe from leaving my whitelist by this point, much less hitting the other list :P
Anyone that I had tagged as having offered contributive comments within the past few months, wasn't removed from whitelist or added to blacklist.
[And even then, I admit I may have missed tagging a few people in PosTho giveaways].
The issue is with people who make a point of never, ever reading giveaway descriptions, and I just wanted to give them as friendly a poke on the matter as I was able.
Since there was no other way to poke them about it and actually be sure they'd read on the matter [that being their overall shortcoming, afterall], this was the only way I could think to do it.
I honestly don't care if people comment or not, but the constant impression of 'don't read, don't comment, don't say thank you' from some SG members is.. unpleasant, certainly within the context of whitelist and good-conduct groups. :X

I'm on your blacklist but I have never even entered a giveaway from you, I'm not asking you to remove me but I do wonder why I am on it.

My issue isn't with commenting- I certainly don't do that as much as I'd like.
It's with not taking time to just glance at the description of the giveaway, before entering.
Or rather, it's with people doing that regularly.
I may have caught people making a rare pass-over on this, but my main aim was to point out the fact that I've noticed the same people ignoring descriptions for every giveaway they enter.
That's just.. crass, in my opinion.
Taking a few seconds- just enough for a quick glance- to read a description seems the bare minimum gratitude we can show toward a giveaway creator for their generosity.
Not that I'm remotely, vaguely, faintly in the same ballpark as the truly generous people on SG, but rather, I believe EVERY creator- even the worst of leeches- deserves that show of respect.
If you feel it's good enough to enter, why don't you feel it's good enough to show respect for receiving?
That contrast confuses me. :/

Yes I think you have a good purpose with this thread. I hope some people reconsider their habits. :)
A lot of people take giveaway creators for granted. Maybe because they don't care, or because they give enough of their own that they don't feel the need to appreciate others? To keep myself content I just focus on being happy with the people who did comment instead of caring about the majority who do not.

I'm not 100% sure why I entered your blacklist from your whitelist. But I do imagine I must have not commented when asked you possibly because I entered your giveaway without a comment due to being on my phone at work or something. But I shouldn't make excuses for myself sorry friend.

I can guarantee you were never on my whitelist, since I haven't added anyone directly to it in 3-4 months, and you registered on the site past that. :P
It was a multi-group giveaway, you likely entered through one of the groups involved. :)
I can't actually unblacklist you until you've shown that you've read this thread properly, though. :(
(Hint: You're missing something.)

The event has ended!
Without reaching even 65% Fancyness, we've failed to attract the unbundled giveaway to this thread, and it has has relocated elsewhere. :(
~⁰ ・✧ Bundle Train! ✧ ・゚ ~
I hope you find the narrative entertaining, but there's certainly no obligation to read through it. :)
Enjoy the train!
In the spirit of the event, if you participate in the bundle train, additional Steampunk images in this thread would be welcomed. :)
The original thread post has been moved to the first reply of this thread. If you find you're blacklisted, and don't know why, you should take a quick look there!
