Men of Valor (is one sided though), Vietcong 1 and 2, Men of War Vietnam, Conflict Vietnam (also more one sided I think).
Those are just a few games about Vietnam that I actually have. Might not be the newest, but there are more Vietnam games around than just BF:V.

Because Americans lost in Vietnam. Simple as that.

mostly because any war themed games are usually too boring to bother with :)

America had their ass handed to them during the Vietnam war. I doubt they want to relive that so much.

"Also, it's based on a film by the famous director Uwe Boll."
That is not a selling point. The game is also not a selling point, since the game is crap.

Should probably get the people behind Spec Ops: The Line on this... Not that they've made a Vietnam thing, but they'd probably do a good one.

I really loved Men of Valor it was made by MoH devs.

afaik, most if not all of the people that worked on MoHAA left and made CoD before MoV was developed.

As far as triple A games go, I don't see publishers being convinced they can make money on a shooter with limited weapon selection or attachments. Designing or balancing for asymmetric warfare seems to be a challenge too. I recall playing BFV at release and enjoying the differences between the NVA, VC, and US, but as the game was patched it felt like balance got worse.

I don't want another game about Viet Nam war, i've play CoD: Black Ops , they created a fake story makes our country looks like bad guys when we just protected our country.

CoD isn't representative of all games, just the really badly written ones.

there resides the problem, you played cod black ops campaing, everyone knows cod is full of ass with their black and white storyline.

my guess is that, vietnam was a lost war, nobody wants to be in a game with the losing side with no opportunity to win, plus playing as the vietcong was a little too controversial, barely any american wants to play as the other side shooting its own people, also since they did a lot of fucked up shit, (the americans did too but most people sympathize with them more i guess, maybe cause it wasnt as much as vietcong)
however there is still battlefield 2 vietnam, and magicka vietnam rescue mission which was in the humble jumbo bundle

Not only, but they are primary market and most developers are from USA.

They sadly are the primary market (sadly because I play as an American patriot in every military game out there), but I'm pretty sure there are more dev teams and publishers based in the rest of the world than the US alone. They are just afraid to stray away from "the winning formula", and honestly I think if a company made a game where you kill Americans and are still a good guy, the game would get thrashed so hard by critics and gamers even if it was the best game ever made.

where did i said that?, no i said barely any AMERICAN wants to play shooting its own side, that includes gaming companies from there

It's a perspective issue, and that can be said on a number of levels. I did an intensive course study on Vietnam films solely from East Asian filmmakers; most interpretations of the war are heavily distorted. I almost feel the plot of "war videogames" is too surface to tackle the subject of what that war was really about (I mean, we still ignorantly call it the Vietnam War, for fuck's sake), at least in the traditional sense (CoD, Medal of Honor, etc.)

Wow I honestly doesn't think people outside our country know about this game.

There is some good reads to go with your game, like Fire in The Lake or The Best and The Brightest.
As to your question, guerilla wars are not easy to recreate, a mod for ARMA might exist. And yeah politics. Nazi zombies are one thing, americans bombing civilians is another.

1) Lack of epicness - no titanic forces crashing against each other, which is the centerpiece of the current war genres
2) Lack of diverse settings, all jungle all the time
3) Lack of heroism - no widespread perception in the world public of Vietnam War being good guys vs bad guys
4) Lack of recognition - say "Vietnam War game" to people, and it doesn't get many excited, unlike WWII or modern
5) Political heat - a war filled with fragging, drugs, and burning civilians. Most big companies don't want to have their brand associated with such things

you don't study history about Viet Nam, so you don't know
we sacrificed ourself to the country, pull cannon to the hill, when it gets to heavy, someone need to use they body to stop it from run down the hill, so we can get the cannon to the hill and win the battle.
That's not all, we use our body to hold and fire big guns, to fill out the line of guns in tunnel, never betray to the country even get pull out all teeth in the mouth.
So, you wrong
sorry for bad english, it's my third language

I think USA citizens don't know much about the Vietnam war because it's a shameful war. To talk honestly about it is to somehow betray the USA.
PROTIP: To not look bad, avoid doing bad actions.

Because its a period in time which America is deeply ashamed of itself but really only because it lost.

Battlefield Vietnam was really fun, the flying in that game was the best in any game i have played imo. Spent most of my time in that game playing with bots and flying the jets around.

The USA didn't win Vietnam, so there's not much ignorant patriotism for the BF/COD franchises to exploit for sales.
There would be too much controversy from Fox News if they get it too historically accurate in today's War On Terror environment.

Battlefield Vietnam was the first "real" computer game that I played, and I guess that really made me love the Vietnam War setting. I'm just wondering why there isn't more games like that. I know that they made the Vietnam DLC for Bad Company 2, but I never played it, and well... it was just a small DLC.
I wish there would be more games that would be about the Vietnam War, and they would be balanced, I don't want to just play as some American supersoldier who destroyes the NVA forces. Maybe EA and DICE will create a new Vietnam War game someday? They did make BF1943, which was like a revision of BF1942. I hope that they make the same thing with BF Vietnam. Games set around today and the near future are getting a bit old in my opinion.
Edit: Need to tell what exactly I mean.
Needs to be balanced, so it would need to either be a multiplayer game, or it would need to have a campaing for both sides. I don't want to only play as an American supersoldier.
CoD: Black Ops 1 did have parts set in the Vietnam War, but there wasn't a lot, and you were a supersoldier.
Vehicles would be great, too.
I'm not really looking for a game like this because I don't think there is a new-ish game that does all this, I just want to talk about why there isn't one, and how likely it is that someone will make a good one sometime soon.
