Who do you blacklist most?
I blacklist people who like AMD
Not really, I only have 15 people on my bl, most are trolls and general assholes, but a few are rule breakers.

I like AMD. And by that, I mean that I haven't had any issue with them so far. :P

Their Bulldozer architecture was a dead end that steered them in the very wrong direction in CPUs, but I'd rather take a little power-hungry graphics card with actual innovation in it over a company that just gradually increases the clock rate on the same chip and pays engine developers to sabotage the competition on software level instead.

The only people I blacklist are people that dont activate their games, regift, or are being overly nasty on the forums/in comments. I quit blacklisting over ratio awhile ago, but I do still go through my blacklist to see how long ago the rulebreaking was. If theyve been clean for around 3 months, then Ill probably take them back off. Currently I have a bit over 100 on blacklist.
I do still whitelist over ratios and friendly/helpful people I noticed on the forums. For me, Ill give away my bundle leftovers to anyone, so I dont even really bother with setting a level requirement anymore (I still make sure they activate their wins though). I actually sort of like when one of my giveaways ends and its my winner's first win. The better games/games I liked tend to go to whitelist/group giveaways.
Also thank you for the train :)

I think this topic is a bit overrated. If a user blacklists you, for whatever reason, it is only affecting their giveaways - not your overall experience with this site. Personally I wouldn't want to take anything from a person who's is unwilling to give it to me either way - again, for whatever reason.

Only have one person on blacklist for, for multiple rule breaking that he himself admited and boasted about in his own discussion. But I would only consider rule breakers as valid reason for blacklist personally, for my own of course. I don't care much about others and if they blacklist me, no matter the reasons, it's just how it is. There is a lot more people that whitelist tho, from what I've seen so far, and it always makes me happy when I see pretty blue hearts. And thanks for giveaways, this is my bump.

Oh I see very few blue hearts... And when I see them, there are always grops and thousands of entries XD

I blacklist only rule-breakers and people who blacklisted me first (you don't let me enter your giveaways then it's only fair you won't enter mine).

1) Im blacklisted by them, fair enough, you cant be liked by everyone.
2) Blatant rule breakers, some1 posting, i won the same game twice but the second one dosent want to give me the game :c. xD
i like to think that i am very tolerant open minded person, unless someone actively attacks other users im all smiles :D

I blacklist people who rant about being blacklisted.
In all seriousness though, I mostly only blacklist users who are very rude and/or mean, disrespectful or very scumbaggish (leaking giveaways, etc.) Chances are, if you're on my blacklist, you probably acted disrespectful or rude to a user here on the forum, or you've done some bad things (breaking the rules) and didn't ever seem to try to make it right.
But really, who cares? If someone doesn't like me, then so be it. I don't mind. There are literally hundreds of giveaways I can enter, so it's not like a couple dozen blacklists will be a problem. Besides, I mostly only enter whitelist/group giveaways, and more often than not, I know the user who created the giveaway. No drama that way. :P

I found out over the past week that I'm on at least two blacklists. I'm surprised it took so long; I'm pretty obnoxious.
One person blacklisted me because I blacklisted him, which is fair and not at all surprising. What's annoying is that he keeps trying to stir up drama by lying about why I blacklisted him, but oh well.
One was another person who I've never even heard of. I'm kind of curious how I managed to piss off someone without interacting with them, since I follow the rules and maintain an okay ratio. I'm sure they have their reasons, and I'm fine with people using their blacklists however they want, but it just makes me wonder.

Someone added me today to ask why they were blacklisted. The reason I had recorded was...complaining about being on other users' blacklists.
Comment has been collapsed.
I mostly blacklist people with poor behaviour/manners and sometimes if i see one, users with like 1 created giveaway and 100 won.
But the main reason people land on my blacklist is still their behaviour.
The really bad ones are listed on my trading thread, such as impersonators or people who insult you without a reason.
Not saying thanks is not really a reason to blacklist, since i stopped writing thanks, too.
Because i was blacklisted myself for saying thanks a couple of times now.
Since then i completely stopped writing thank you's on giveaways. I only write something if the giveaway starter requested something.
This is it, this is where we are now. Poeple get blacklisted for being too polite...

If i see someone who has only created 1 giveaway to get level 1 or something like that, but 200 won giveaways, i think he has had enough luck and should share, too, not only take. Besides, 200 games is enough, others should get a chance, too. Don't you think?
p.s. to be clear: i do not blacklist people with, lets say, 20 created and 100 won. Only with really bad ratios.

Seriously high level contributors are awesome. They've been giving this community a lot but not taking much, so most of my giveaways are level 6 and higher cause i like to give them the opportunity to win they deserve that. I will try my best to create more giveaways in the future specially for them :)

Hm... To be honest it's the topic that has been talked about maaany times. I'm here for like... Two months, maybe? and I explained my opinion about blacklisting and reason for it at least four times (that much I remember). When I came here at first, I must admit, I didn't really like the blacklist option, but it didn't take long to understand why it's needed :P. Right know I have 15 people on my blacklist. Reasons? Rule-breaking, bad attitude towards other users (insults, homophobic comments, racism), entering GA bundle (game + soundtrack, game + DLCs, few games) only for the cheapest one, or for the soundtrack. Things like that.
I also must admit, that I dislike when person, who win giveaway doesn't say "thank you" after that. For me it's a natural thing to do that, as a sign of appreciation. It doesn't take long time. If you're out of home or can't write at the moment, you can still do it later. Still, I've never blacklisted for that and I've never will. It just leaves bad taste in my mouth, that's all.
And I think ratio argument is valid, even though I don't blacklist for that (I plan to do most of my more pricey giveaways for users on my level and they usually don't have a problem with that and even if, they still gave a lot to this community).

I haven't blacklisted anyone... yet.
Also, is there a way for me to check who's blacklisted me? Out of curiosity..... not that I ever do anything that could be considered wrong.... at all.........

There's no way to get a list or anything, but if you try to view a GA by someone who has you blacklisted, it'll tell you you're on their blacklist.

Ah, thanks for the info! Hopefully I'm not on anyone's BL, since I don't enter a whole lot of GA's.

''Users who don't thank you after you sent them the game''
Idc about rule breakers. Everyone has their second chance.
But the only thing I CANT stand that some people dont say thank you...

I'm kinda new in here and both my blacklist/whitelist are empty. Reading the thread/replies helped me alot concerning the reasons behind blacklisting so have a BUMP =)

FYI, any metaphors are incidental, I'm just really hungry for pie right now. :X
Pie is delicious.

I voted "rule breakers".
There's only one guy in my blacklist, and this is someone who didn't activate my game, so I had to contact support to mark this giveaway completed. I don't blacklist every rule breaker though, I believe people can change, but if they screw me over personally, I'll not give them another chance. Other than that, I'd not blacklist anyone, trying to keep it rather minimal. Blacklist should only be a method to avoid future problems in giveaways, not some kind of hate list for personal reasons.
After reading the reasons here, I figured I should probably stay away from forums from now on...

Just out of curiosity, if he didn't activate the game, and he didn't mark the gift as received, what makes you think he was trying to break a rule?
Comment has been collapsed.
I understand that, but it kind of sounds like he might have just forgotten about the site or something, rather than trying to screw you over. You're justified in asking for a reroll, definitely, but if that's all there was to it he didn't really break a rule.
Comment has been collapsed.
I wouldn't have contacted the support if he didn't ignore my e-mail (okay that can be accident too) AND accepted my Steam friend invite only to ask "who are you", and after I explained the case, delete me from his friends without a reply. Can't say I didn't make an effort to contact him.
Comment has been collapsed.
Would they suspend someone who was just inactive/unresponsive, though? I thought that was only grounds for a reroll.
Comment has been collapsed.
He was active, he visited SG after he won my game. And he's suspended now. Obviously he knew what was going on.
Also, it's all in the rules. You're supposed to contact them. If they remain unresponsive and don't visit SG anymore, you can reroll.

I don't have that many people on my blacklist, but the ones on there are people who've broken rules repeatedly/on purpose - duplicate accounts etc.
Blacklisting people due to ratio seems a bit over the top for me, but in the end - it's up to the giveaway creators to pick who they want/don't want joining their giveaways. :)

Hello everyone! I want to talk about the blacklist and the reasons that drive people blacklisting other people.
The more I stay on the forum, looking for interesting topics and nice giveaways/puzzles, the more I find people who blacklisted me. I know, I broke some rules in the past (didn't activate some wins, got suspended, then activated the games) but now I have a clean profile and am trying to improve my ratio. Still, I am in some people's blacklist.
I sometimes write in the forum, but never insulted anyone. Maybe I didn't leave a "thank you" in every giveaway I won, but I'm not in those users' blacklists. It seems I get blacklisted from random people. When I find out, I ask them the reason, and if they answer, they usually say "poor ratio", and sometimes they remove me from their blacklist.
The easiest "solution" that comes to my mind, for people with a "poor ratio" (as it were a guilt), would be to not write in the forum in order to avoid being noticed by blacklisters. This thing sucks, because people who wanted to participate in the discussions are held back by the fear of being blacklisted by someone mad.
A suggestion I could give to the site: in the blacklist (and whitelist) management page, there could be an optional label for every user in the list, so you could know why you blacklisted (whitelisted) him/her.
Please share your thoughts if you want. And have a little train for your time and patience.
