where i work, we only have macs nowadays. even though 80% of them actually run on win7.

if i owned the place yes. but well... my company is publishing germany's biggest daily newspaper.
since you're from Austria, you might now which one i am talking about.

We can afford wasting money for stuff that has looking expensive for it's only purpose.

When your company has enough money then there is no problem, but it's still somehow a waste of money :D

Nobody forces anyone to buy a newspaper, i don't read it either. Sure newspapers try and take influence, but people decide to read it. For me, it's a place where i work. Gotta pay the rent.

Ubuntu is a good OS, the major complaint that people have with Linux distros is PC gaming and that's being worked on by a lot of companies lately.

I dual boot Ubuntu 12.04 and Windows 7 on my HP laptop, it's nice to have options.
