When I was in primary school (1-4th class), I didn't like my birthday q.q It's the 30. of July, so we already had summer vacations... my friends weren't there, I didn't get a sticker, or postcard or something like that from the teachers and yes, that made me sad, because I was the only one with such an "unfortunate" birthday. And since it was summer, it was, according to my mom, too hot for a cake with whipped cream, or a classic birthday cake >.> So I got a pound cake...
Also in later years, I could hardly celebrate with friends... and at some point, I realised that I didn't care anymore.
Today, I'm surprised when 4 people remember my birthday. My mother, my brother and my two best friends. Usually, my brother buys some nice cake, some I actually like ö.ö the ones with cream and stuff ^.^ My mother is... just her usual self and my friends... well ö.ö I get a gift from my best friend? And the other one at least tries to not forget about it?
I never had a real party, no friends to prepare a surprise... It's like the most boring day of the year, but with cake :p

Usually I only celebrate it directly with my family, even more, since I share the birthday with my stepmom. But if it's a milestone birthday or it happens to be at the weekend, I'm also celebrating it with friends.

I don't usually celebrate my birthday, I never had much friends and my family doesn't do big celebrations so most of the time I just get a small cake and go out with my sister or play video games. I'm curious about how other people celebrate their birthdays, what do you usually do? Do you have a remarkable memory about your birthdays?
