personally i find it hard to find good horrors nowadays so besides already named classics above i would recommend the asian versions of horror movies maybe less in terms of cgi but they definately give a better eery vibe.

in terms of a recommendation in ''non '' horror labeled as horror i would suggest ISAW THE DEVIL

Also, you've mentioned something about psychological horrors. Try with Jacob's Ladder, Martin and if you want to go really fancy, Hour of the Wolf. :D
