The reason for this is because every item under steam community can be converted to steam gems.

can someone fill me in on the gems? or a url where i can read up on it? i literally don't know a thing about them yet.
(googling right now, but no clue what site ill end up on)
edit: nm that. reading right now. it looks like the gem value to rarity is pretty inconsistent...seems pretty wonky to me.

You can recycle items into gems, and use the gems to bid on games or create booster packs.

I've had these listed for months at 3-4cents and they didn't sell-suddenly they all sell at once, and lowest price is 6 cents now. It looks like they were bought by West-Asians (Russians etc). Anyone else notice any odd behavior in the market? Is there a site that's going to resell them or something?? Look at the trend graph also:

Is this because of the steam gem thing? (I haven't really been paying attention to all this but vaguely remember hearing about it.)
