Will you consider the Epic Game Store your new default library?
The sad tuth its that i am taking all this great games and i will not play them. I like achivements and community guides and see what my friends are playing, and in 2020 dont have yhis things in a client its a shame. And even if they put all this things they are too late, i have a good library on uplay and origin and dont play that games heither, so its nothing againt epic. im soo used to come home and the steam launchs itself and i start playing that i dont care about the others....

There really should be some sort of platform-agnostic achievement / trophy system that all these services use instead of this walled-garden approach.

+1 on that! 👍
I find it a good way to link multiple libraries. Honestly I only created an Epic account after the beta of 2.0 arrived. (I'd signed up, though I never used 1.0) Wishing I'd done it sooner looking back at what was available from Epic. Oh well least I got some decent things now.
I wonder if Origin or UPlay give away anything? If so might be worth joining as I believe they both integrate into GOG but I digress.
2.0 Is IMHO a great step in the right direction towards integrating one's collections. 🙂

I think, it helped them, because even I bought some games on their store- like Walking dead pack, Assassins Creed Origin Gold edition + in previous sales I bought some more games.
Now I see it just like a normal consumer, so if something is here cheaper = I buy it there. (but without all the free games, I would not buy it there)

jeez, I was waiting whole Christmas for the sale to end so I could finally use the 10E coupon to buy a game that is normally above 15E but now below 15E, and they extended the sale by another week!!
Too many sales, too cheap games, that is terrible..:(

1st world gamers exist!!
im more concerned about them giving it away
also the client/store needs more polish, and if steam is a benchmark it could take 10 years!

Most of the anger comes exclusively from the "haha epic/fortnite bad" bandwagon. While some circumstances differ, it's honestly more similar than different to hate minecraft had back when it had it's first boost in popularity. Seen with constantly going after the fanbase/game, finding some new small thing to nitpick and compare it to Steam, or obsessing over things that happened a while ago.

it tells a lot about your maturity level when you use autism as an insult
Grow up because frankly you are embarassing yourself

because god forbid anyone else plays fortnite, right?
You really are beyond help

Lmao are you really trying to claim you're not angry while resorting to using 'autists' as an insult? How old are you, because you sound like you should be playing fortnite ;)
Also "Seen with constantly going after the fanbase/game" you kinda prove my point several times over

My guess is that they don't need any Fortnite money. The store is probably already profitable.

I don't know...with all the free games and the money they're paying to have exclusives, it might not be....but only they know for sure.
But even though I have never bought a game there and I don't play Fortnite, I'm happy because they give back, especially to developers, for example with amazing additions to Unreal Engine such as the free Quixel Megascans assets and their lowered share they take from the UE4 marketplace (which they also paid back retroactively), Activision-Blizzard would've just paid their executives and shareholders more.

I think you misunderstood what I said. The reply was polite, but not positive at all. Here it is:
"Hello dear player.
Thank you for taking the time to write to us at Epic Games Player Support! My name is David and I wish you an Epic day! It will be a pleasure to be your partner/duo on this mission today!
I'm sorry to know that you had issues to claim the game:
Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, and this caused you inconvenience to you. At this moment, let me inform you that the game is no longer available, if you couldn't redeem the game during December 31. We don't have the option to get that game free again.
The free game that is active on January 1st is: STEEP. You can claim that game during the day, and you can obtain it free to enjoy it all time that you wish. Thank you for your time, and being part of our Epic community.
If you require further assistance with anything, or just have questions, you are always welcome to come back to us as we are always happy to talk with our players and assist them in any way we can.
A big hug for you, from the Epic Games family. Happy new year to you!"

Anything that takes away consumer choice and tries to strongarm people is anti-consumer in my book. And that's what the exclusives do. When they aren't first-party games and you essentially have to bribe another party to make them an exclusive for your software platform it seems like a very contrived thing. Plus there is a fracturing effect on the industry and the last thing we really need or want is yet another launcher. I don't want a monopoly either and I'm all for competition but it should be in a more organic way by working on your distribution platform's features and making it better / more appealing to entice consumers and then letting them decide where they want to buy. Taking away consumer choice to try and force people to your software platform so you don't have to do meaningful work on it to compete is just lazy and frankly a scummy way to do things imo.

Are you aware that in any neighborhood you can buy the same product in different supermarkets or malls and that every shop has its own price, promotion and customer retention policy?
Is Epic store any different?

Plus nobody seemed to be bothered when Steam had exclusivity over the majority of games (and still does) because of its monopolist position. Even if you can buy the games elsewhere, you'll have to use Steam to play them, and that's called exclusivity as well, but it has cards and other crap, so it's all fine.

Wow, I was so surprised to read that you were here 8 years, only to check my profile and see the exact same number. Definitely doesn't feel like it's been so long!

Well Epic's stated strategy was to stop people using Steam as their main portal.

for the king this game looks very good, someone here already played and want to give an opinion?

Absolutely fantastic game is you like rpgs, fantasy and roguelike. The game seems to be very difficult a the start and you often die in act 2. But the more good unlock you get (and keep) the more easier and interesting (because new enemies, weapons and spells) the game gets. Different games modes (even local coop is included) make this game fun alone or with friends too. Get it!!!!

The mystery image riddles were just apart of the 13 days of chrismas deal. I mean it just helped narrow down what people were getting from the epicdata site

Yeah I liked the mystery pics. I would of liked to see that each week.
