Woah, Mutazione? Grrrrrreaat!! And Anodyne 2 is looking lovely after I've just checked it out for a bit. A Short Hike I already own on Steam and people keep praising it, gotta try this one soon.
This is an overall awesome set for my taste <3
:D

A Short Hike won some "best Indie Game" Awards last year. Mutazione is game by an italien developer and if you like night in the woods you will like this too. I enjoyed it a lot.
Anodyne 1 was an Zelda SNes Clone and the second game is more or less an N64 Zelda like game. Ratings are good.

Chill. Others overreacted before in comments too. Not every anti-Epic player can even make up such a single reason that " I can afford not to care", and truth to be told, some games given out are excellent. It's okay that you don't want to support a site of your choosing.
With that in mind: your comment sounds a little overblown - both "supporting" a platform without giving a single cent in a meaningful way, or destroying the game industry by doing that. I'm pretty sure majority of people taking the Epic games haven't even started one yet, so it's not even about visitors on the site (it would be still negligible compared to the playerbase and visitor count because of Fortnite)

If you have kids/household members you want to share your Steam library with, it still pays off to claim these extra licenses.
At least it gives you extra copies to run at the same time (if you don't want to jump through offline hoops). Steam DRM's family library locking is pretty abysmal in this regard, locking not the copy of the game you're running but your entire library.

Does anyone know if any of the games on the store are really DRM free? Like if I took Axiom Verge and copied it over to another PC would it work without having to install the Epic launcher? Was thinking of making backups since just had a scare where I thought I lost my Epic Store account (thankfully got it working).

I'm not sure; I don't think Epic games claim they are DRM-free. However, from my experience some games can be launched directly without triggering launch of the EGS launcher, so there's a good chance those might run without it or without an active/online account.

e.g. gorogoa on the epic store is drm-free. i think i might have tried one of the freebies as well, which also worked, but i don't remember which. so my experience was that they are actually (mostly) drm-free. you can check pcgaming wiki for drm info, e.g. https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Celeste claims that celeste is drm-free, it is not faultless though as it claims that gorogoa has drm which is apparently not true.
