Tried to install KCD over my GOG KCD installation directory and found out that Epic launcher cannot "discover existing files" like Steam does :-(

Yup, I contacted them. They are asking for many things though. Like email, username, first name, last name and External Accounts. Don't they have this information already and why do they accounts that are linked to epic. Am I overthinking?

And they dont need to. They have way too much money to invest so i wouldnt expect them to stop giving away games anytime soon at least for that reason. Theoretically they could stop if they see that they cant earn the market share that they want no matter what but considering how much the profit the pc gaming industry have i dont think that will be the case.

Considering how many investors epic has and the profits they get from their engine fortnite could die in the next hours few hours and they would be able to give games for so many years. But yeah i am with you, there are so many good games that i love their approach to the industry. I am hoping for wildlands in the future but no matter what i am fine with anything at this point. I have to try kingdome come soon.

I dont really care if its that good to be honest. As long as it has coop and it can scratch my itch for military games that i can avoid the hud and the markers that hold your hands it seems will suit me fine. But thanks a lot for your warning, i appreciate it.

If it works the same as the other Ubisoft games in their category, you just need to link your Epic games account to your Uplay once and then you can download and play it on Uplay after even if you delete the EGS launcher.

Do you happen to know, if it can be set up from the Epic website, or do I have to install the Epic launcher in order to link it with Uplay? I'd like to avoid installing their spyware client.

I don't see a way sorry. I might be wrong but upon initial checking I can only initiate the linking of EGS and Ubisoft account to 'install' it from their launcher.

i dont know if anyone mentioned this yet... but there are also some "packs" for Kindom Come available for free.
after clicking on "see Editions" scroll to the bottom of the list.
there are some texture, language and sound packs there that are also for free

Do you know if i choose to claim one of the DLC's is there any way to disable it after? Kinda tempted to see the difference in the HD textures but dont want them taking up space if its not too noticeable or if it ruins performance.

Yes, you can toggle HD texture pack from in-game settings. Can't remember for sure, but it's possible you can do the same with the voice DLC.

For Steam, you can choose to add (download) or not. Epic - I think I saw on reddit that it will be auto downloaded - but you will have the option to disable in the in-game menu. The game is pretty large - 60Gb+
I keep claiming Epic games, but have yet to use the launcher - so am sorry cannot answer your question directly as to whether you have the option to download or not the DLC. Only that I saw a few complaining on reddit that it downloads all the free DLC but with option to enable or not. True or not, I cannot say!

Suggestions for those who want to play syndicate - epic launcher didnt do anything for me. To get the game running you must close the Epic launcher completely, open Uplay with admin rights and locate the installed folder. It will run straight from Uplay
In game I had problem with characters jumping. Looks like it didnt like left shit and it worked fine with right shift (for jumping and climbing it takes "W"+Shift+Space) but it doesnt work when pressing left shift. I changed it to Ctrl and now you can jump and climb while not letting go of mouse.. Maybe someone finds this useful who cant figure out why the character isnt climbing
