Time to demand better licensing practises. It is insane we've come to accept games disappearing forever for such reasons.

Well, the Stop Killing Games movement doesn't really apply to this situation. The game continues to be playable (even online), so they haven't killed it yet. Everything stops being sold at some point. I agree that they should've had better licensing practices like the other user said, this game wasn't sold for that long. But Stop Killing Games applies more to games that get "deleted" from existance, from what I've understood. I could be wrong though.

That being said, go support Stop Killing Games anyways!

Yes, the Forza situation is different, although adjacent. I understand that car brands want (need) to protect their trademarked names/logos/body designs, but I also feel there should be some sort of time limit after which a given work should be able to simply exist as it was once released, having in a way become part of culture, without further opportunity of interference by licencors that were at some time in agreement.

yeah, that would be ideal for, like, culture and entertainment stuff overall. but i dont think companies and brands want it to work that way

i dont think steam keys for this game are that easy to find though. but like Slurredprey said, they most likely should work if you find any. I found people selling their steam accounts that have Forza H4 though. and they're not too expensive, but i dont like buying steam accounts. I dont even know if its legal to sell them

It's against Steam's ToS, if that counts for anything.

Ah. These are not keys but entire new Steam accounts that are sold. Then no FH4 for me. :/

steam keys are generated by the publisher, and when a publisher has their own store they usually prioritize it over steam
so there are no steam keys for microsoft or ea or ubisoft games
