I cant find any usable information anywhere on the internet about this error i've been getting and ive done all the classic and normal suggested troubleshooting steps to fix it( UAC/administrator/driver updates etc etc etc). I've even contacted Ea support(as its an EA game) and their support staff gave me a case and phone number to directly call their specialist team.

The fact that it works on my XP machine and on my mates win7 machine especially irritates me. Am i missing some kind of redist package?

Any suggestions or ideas would be grateful.

Generic unhelpful help:
Have you tried restarting origin?
Have you tried repair install/uninstall then reinstall?
Is firewall some reason causing it? (depending on the firewall, games could function different even if the game isn't using internet connection)

I am guessing you're using a windows 7.

yup, restarted orgin and pc aplenty, repaired install multiple times. Tried redownloading. Firewall is completely off and uac is off. was ran as administrator. All drivers are updated to the latest ( i believe). made sure to install the latest redists i could think off. i AM using a win 7 64bit. i tried running the game in compatibility mode. I've sincerely tried all the simple legitimate standardized fixes.

EDit* i have to go do something, therefor i will be inactive from posting for potentially 2-3 hours. I will return however. I pre-emtivly appreciate the potential suggestions guys.

I sorta thought so but wanted to check. I get these errors all the time(well, kinda like them anyways. They're all the same to me) and stupid things like I suggested usually works. I would say good luck with EA, since I tried google search for you too with no luck. Maybe you will get a kickass coupon from EA support. They love encouraging you to buy more of their games after fixing their problems.

is burnout paradise a mmorg or massively multiplayer racing game like test drive unlimited 2? and does burnout paradise require a connection to an ea server?

it does have open world racing i believe and that it more then likely does have to connect to an ea server. Which means its something for me to look at, great idea.
