Meh, I don't see how you can be surprised a game developer defends any form of DRM. As for anything else about the xbox one, it is all a matter of preference. It is more of a TV box, but it still runs games which is enough for developers to make money off of it.

Microsoft needs to step up their game if they're gonna win over hard core gamers.
There is no way Microsoft is going to add support for keyboard and mouse to their games.
It's a shame too, since we'd be able to play Dota/MMORPG style games and most importantly of all, FPS games properly.

Indie devs need to speak up against microsoft, not just gamers.

Microsoft probably is treating Capy well, else Capy would be supporting a different platform now. Doesn't mean that Microsoft will treat the next developer equally well.
That happens with all systems. Each console company favors some developers over others, for whatever random reasons. Some developers are lucky and have a smooth experience, while others are unlucky and hit obstacle after obstacle. Most have praise as long as they choose to tie their fortunes to a particular system, and only begin to speak out when they hitch their wagon to another star.
If Capy sees its experience with Microsoft sour, then maybe in a few years we'll see new Sony developer Capy talking about their negative experiences with Microsoft. If Capy maintains a positive experience with Microsoft, then they'll stay with Microsoft (and Microsoft will likely stay friendly with them) and praise Microsoft.

If the big guys go out, it hurts everyone. Please at least look at the big picture. How many people buy an XBox thinking "Oh, this'll be great for indie games!" No, they buy one for CoD or AC and then one day browse over to the indie game section.
And that's ignoring the fact that they very well might want to get big enough that they can sell boxed copies.

Why is this such a difficult concept for you to understand? It's not that complicated. Indie developers defend it because without the big developers drawing in customers, they won't see sales.
All of Microsoft's policies are good for big developers. Happy/rich big developers = more AAA games. More AAA games = more gamers and more console owners. More gamers/console owners means more people that browse to the indie store.

I'm sorry, but I feel that you misunderstood me, my friend.
Just for the sake of presenting my thoughts coherently, let me break it down.
You said:
"The no used games alone means that developers will get much more money and make it more profitable to make games. Do you think Gamestop gives developers a penny on used game sales?"
So I assumed since the discussion set forth by the OP was about INDIE developers, that you were also talking about INDIE developers since you didn't specify otherwise. The discussion was about indie developers, you were saying this and that about "developers," so I assumed you meant "indie developers" since that seemed to be a safe assumption.
So, with that in mind, and also the fact that very few indie games make it onto discs (most of the ones I know of are either just for Kickstarter/crowdfunding rewards or for Collector's Editions of indie games that are already very financially successful) I made the comment:
"Because indie games rely so heavily on boxed game sales >.>"
Then you replied talking about the connection and reliance indie companies have on big companies.
Then I figured out that when you said "The no used games alone means that developers will get much more money and make it more profitable to make games. Do you think Gamestop gives developers a penny on used game sales?" you were talking about big developers, not indie developers, hence my response:
"If you're talking about the big developers in the first place, you should have specified as much, as the body of the OP starts out with "This honestly supprizes me that any indie developer would defend this putrid anti gaming device.""
So basically I misunderstood what you meant when you used the word "developers" in your original response, and that's what I was trying to tell you, but apparently you think I don't understand your first reply to me, which I do, and I even agree with to some extent, although I hardly think that's the only if even the most important factor for indie developers in general.
I hope this clears it up. Sorry for any misunderstandings.

You're missing the point you numnut. No one should defend what microsoft is doing right now.

I wasn't going for XBone, but you made me reconsidder. I think I'm going for it now. Just because you'll be on PS4.

Actually im on pc like everyone else here. I'm getting the Wii U. Why should i limit myself to just one platform?

Well I hope Below eventually makes it onto the PC. I really enjoyed Critter Crunch and M&M: Clash of Heroes (and to a lesser extent, Superbrothers)
I know that's kind of besides the point though, I have rarely heard good things about Xbox from indie developers

Wait these guys made SuperBrothers: Swords and Sorcery!? What's going on here!?

You are aware of what's going on right? I'm saying they're likely to have been paid due to every other indie dev but this idiots are not supporting the xbox one. If you haven't noticed this, where have you been?

All your rambling in this thread is about how bad XBone/MS is.

I remember back in the day, Indie Devs would actually put games on the PC, now-a-days they make exclusives for Smart Phoness and stuff like XBLA...

This honestly supprizes me that any indie developer would defend this putrid anti gaming device. heres what Capybara had to say:
"This clarification is about answering our fans, and shouldn't reflect negatively on Microsoft or Xbox One – they've been the biggest CAPY supporters out there (and also lets face it: Titanfall and Halo are going to be crazy delicious game magic). The Xbox 360 has been a great home for marquee downloadable games, and we believe this is something that will continue, and grow, over the years on Xbox One."
Its most likely that they were paid by microsoft to give the xbox one some positive talk even though its false. Since when has the xbox platform been a good home for games let alone indie ones( they'll just put them in the indie section and hide them away from the spotlight). Even with the xbox one now having self publishing and supposedly every xbox one being a dev kit, they still somehow manage to screw that up. They don't tell you about the very large license fee to publish on the xbox one. Its also been confirmed that Below won't be exclusive to the xbox one its only a timed exclusive( why are they still doing that kind of crap). Microsoft needs to step up their game if they're gonna win over hard core gamers. But gamers need to let them know they need to fix this crap. Let them know if you don't have real exclusives that aren't halo you won't buy their console and hopefully they'll listen and you might get a good system kinect 2.0 free. But until they get there heads out of there arses, dont buy that cash register that can play games.
