Do you watch the Olympic? If yes, which sport do you watch?
I don't follow the olympic games at all, but remember seeing the an Australian winning gold in ice skating long ago. I had to search for the video to share (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAADWfJO2qM)
I only saw it by chance and I still laugh when I remember it :D

I then read the whole story. It gets better every time.
He only classified to the semi-finals because another person got disqualified for blocking someone from passing.
During the semi finals race he was going last, but the first one crashed, making everyone else fall and he was able to finish first and advance to the finals.
The same thing happened in the finals, that's what you see in the video :P
He was the first person from the southern hemisphere to win a gold medal in the winter olympics.

Really cool Doodle game (Doogle?)
I don't really care about the Olympics. Never have.
I mean... I do admire the talent and dedication and skills, and the damn perseverance and sacrifice it takes to get there. Those athletes are amazing and I have a lot of respect for them. But do I want to see them perform or care who wins or whose flag they're sporting? Not really.
The whole spectacle of parades and mascots and opening ceremony is not my thing either. It's like the Eurovision contest. I know it does exist and I hear a lot about it from everyone when it's on, but I just have zero interest in it.
I will be playing sports games with friends when I go on vacations though ;)
It's a real shame that Japan got short changed. They spent so much time and money on it and they're not going to get much back.
I'm sure Paris is relieved they didn't get the 2020 games. Let's see how it goes
Edit: Wow that Doogle is pretty neat! They really did put some time and effort into it. I thought it was going to be a minigame but nope, I already spent 20 mn just having fun in the skateboard town section and filling in side quests.
Thanks for pointing it out :)

ay everyone has their own interests, it's only fair. And you're welcome I enjoyed the game a lot too ;3 my favorite game is maybe the rugby, I really wish there was more to it :)))) though I still don't understand how's the scoring work in that game :p

I played it yesterday for like 2 hours, it's fun, I got kinda tired of the backtracking for the missions, but overall I liked it.
There was a lot of controversy for different reasons around these Olympics, it's a shame.

I swear, that isn't the title of a light novel at all
Today's (as of 23.07.2021) Google doodle is a really cute pixelart game, inspired by the Olympic Games which is being hosted in Tokyo, Japan. I had some fun with it and I hope you could too!
It's kinda a bit sad to see how much Japan has prepared for it before Covid hit us all. I really enjoy this year's (though it wasn't officially used :))) ) and especially the mascot design - Miraitowa (there is also another one - Someity for the Paralympic).
Dispite some controversy about how safety it is for the athletes and the local people, I'm excited to see the competitions myself. :3
Here's a minitrain to celebrate :D I added a japanese song that is somewhat sport-themed in each GA, I hope you can enjoy them as much as I do.
