Its been months since i joined steam, having so much fun playing games with friends from all over the world.
Now, its time to move on where i need to go back to college where playing time will be reduced tremendously.

Have ever you guys thought you would be leaving steam for a very long time, after getting work, married or even its does not seems important for you anymore?
Or when you guys think its time to stop playing games and focus more time with your family?
Doing real things and getting real memories?

Yes..sadly
NO !! I will take it to my grave !!
Yes and No. It comes and goes.

i dont see how gaming can hurt real life things or memories. i have many friends (imo they are many) and i go out and do stuff enough for me to be happy(usually 2-3 evenings a week). I play when i have free time or before i go to bed, i like to chill chatting with steam friends or watching a friend streaming or playing some game. I will never drop steam, the day i am offline for days means that im dead

Playing games is much more "real" than time spent with family as far as I'm concerned.
Real memories? I get them everyday, whether I spend the day gaming or not.

Family? Haaahahahahahahahahaaaaaah... haha... hahahahah.
Naah, I'm one of those forever alone types. :D

Well, I've spend 3 years in university already and while my playtime took a hit, I obviously haven't quit. And I don't intend to. I have 1000 games waiting for my (eventual) attention. ^_^

i know i will never leave steam. I may have less time to play, but that does not mean i won't be able to play at all.
But i did give my account details to a few people i trust. Only in the event of my demise will they be able to claim it as their own.

Oh, I didn't read the description. I don't want to leave gaming, but I would love to have a better option than Steam.

It's not even a question for me. I'm invested in Steam for life although real people are just as important to me ^^

I am too attached to my Steam account - so much good memories. Guess I'll take it to the grave - no other soul is able to take my Steam account away from me.

You can't stop gaming mate, everybody knows that :P

You may stop Steam, but you won't stop gaming. After 30 years, it has become clear to me :)

Well, playing TOO many games aka gaming addiction isn't good for your social life ofcourse. Depending on if the induvidual is happy with that thats everybodies own call.
Doing other real life stuff can be fun too ofcourse. But on the other hand, real life shit can be stressful with college, work etc. With those kind of things it is always good to relax once in a while and if you like gaming, it is a good way to relax and relief too. Just have some fun. So I don't really see the need of leaving steam/gaming unless it negativly interferes with things that are more important to you in your life.

The only reason I've ever thought about leaving steam is when I'm playing a bunch of games that aren't on Steam for a prolonged period of time. Even then it would only be temporary. I made it through college so far, and I may have to cut back next semester as I start my masters, but even if only over breaks I expect to still be on steam quite a bit.

My brother in law is now a doctor... at no time did he stop playing games altogether, his time was just drastically reduced. But the idea that you're just going to give up a part of yourself because some other life event happens, is kind of ridiculous.

I'm playing games a lot right now (like 4 or 5 hours per day, long live the holiday). But when I get back to school (I'm studiying software engineering) I really don't have much time for gaming apart from the weekends. But I'll never just leave gaming behind just because I don't have much time. Even if I play only 15 to 30 minutes a day, it's still worth it to me.

Even if you are going to stop playing games, never just give up on steam entirly, because one day, you might find yourself willing to play again and having all the games that you had so much fun with is really great then (talking from experience with games like GTA III and Vice City).

Yes, but not in the way you are asking. If I leave Steam it'll be for another platform (although even then I'd still come back to Steam for the games I already own here). However, even if I had a demanding job and a SO and all those other time sucks, I'd still always find a little bit of time for gaming :>

No, never. I don't see why I would "leave" it - if I want to take a break from gaming, I can, but I'll probably be back.

However, I once considered leaving Steamgifts for an indefinite amount of time, back when I was "depressed" and felt like shit, hated everything and everyone, and couldn't handle life in general for no particular reason.

However, I soon enough realized that Steamgifts actually kept me in a "better-ish" mood, so yeah... Forever doomed to be a Steamgifter.
Luckily, my "feel like shit and hate everything and everyone" mood is a thing from the past, though, so I'm just chilling and enjoying the wonderful community that is Steamgifts just for the heck of loving it. Yay. :D

NEVER

Copy-pasting an obituary that highlights my life (written and embellished by me in advance) into my Custom Info Box on my Steam Profile is also a condition for my inheritor to get my money pile and my collection of anime figurines.
