My 7 year old PC just got a much needed speed upgrade in the form of an SSD. (My first SSD ever I might add)
It only took my good friend MadNinja 2 years to convince me it would be worth it. (I'm a bit slow and also a cheapskate)

Feel free to post your scores but please only do so if your PC is slower than mine... Nah, I'll live but it will hurt my feelings if it's much, much faster.

Yeye whatever! didn't you say something about celebrating?

Congrats! An SSD is always a good investment, and it's never too late for it. We got very similar system (4670k/1060), as mine is also 7 years old by now, except for the fact that I also bought a 256 GB 840 EVO (OS, Photoshop and few games), and it's still rocking after 22 TB of writes over time. I later upgraded my GPU to a 1060 3 GB, then doubled the RAM from 8 GB do 16, and last month I got a second SSD, a 2 TB one only for games allowing me to remove my 7200 rpm drive, which was the nosier part of my system. I suppose that's worth celebrating too!

Apparently all my parts cost slightly more - except the motherboard I'm guessing - but don't run as well as yours. The WD 2010 costs more than the 2013 ones, this is probably a discontinued item price kind of thing.

Sad panda...

I do have another hdd too but my psu isn't powerful enough to power three drives after my ssd upgrade, the PSU is next on my upgrade list.

Congrats on the SSD though! It's definitely a huge upgrade.

Congrats on the upgrade!

You never really notice how much faster an SSD is until you have to use a computer with an HDD and you wonder, "Why is this PC so sloooow?"

I also got a SSD not long ago. It's just so much better than a hard drive!

Congrats on your upgrade.

Glad to see the 4670k still be running. Got mine still in use as well, even though it got replaced for the next generation. Still a great CPU and capable of handling most tasks. Sadly in my case I lacked the core count to work at my best and upgraded to a system that will last hopefully as long as my previous two systems did.

https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/11083974 2008 - 2014 ( got replaced by a Intel Pentium J4205 @ 1.50GHz a 30W PC full load system )

https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/11760948 2014 - 2020

https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/26365889 2020 - we will see

The thing I am currently happiest about is not the core count, but the fact, that the 3900x actually is running at a TDP 45W and still puts anything else into the dust. Even though this is the strongest system I ever got, it also is the most power saving system I managed to put together without sacrificing anything else but power consumption. 45W TDP caps the CPU power consumption at 60W on full load.

Enjoy your upgrade and thank you for your celebration bonus.

I still haven't made it to SSD world and I think about it every time I use my computer. I hope you're enjoying the speed. Thanks for the giveaway.

My PC is really old. A Core 2 Quad 2,6 Ghz with a decent GPU (R9 270x). However, it does have a 128GB SSD since 2014(?)
The thought of running a PC without an SSD fills me with horror.
Welcome to the 21st century ;)

Wonder what score would have my Predator obtained, but I am too lazy to install it. XP

Congratulations on the upgraded pc ( a magnificent feeling, when you turn it on and it just boots straight up, plus no whining if playing something graphic intensive). Enjoy :)
