The closest I've come to hacking is installing custom firmware on a PSP, a soft mod on my PS2, and editing my game saves. All pretty basic stuff.

Weird Topic.

Something that kinda fits in here though, i may or may not have a list with a few hundred loginames and passwords for a certain game, you always hear how people are using simple passwords like "123456" or they are using their loginname for the password as well.
I never believed there were many people that actually do that, but i stand corrected, a hell of a lot of people do.

I never really hacked anything outside of a controlled environment, i only played around with the idea, never went anywhere with it.
But i did get access to a couple(a couple, literally just two) of WLAN networks that were only secured through a WEK Key. Nothing interesting, my parents wouldn't allow me to have internet on the PC in my room, so i went and got it myself, actually used on of them for almost a year.

Edit: You wouldn't believe how many people actually use "password" as their password.. It's so stupid that it might actually work, i probably wouldn't have tried that..

Some MMO's. Its fun to watch what kind of traffic the client is sending and receiving and hey, its my PC - I am the master of what my PC receives and transmits. Some MMO's are even stupid enough to only save data in RAM and not check with the server if the user actually has 999999999999999 gold. Silly MMO's, trusting their users :D
I wouldn't call it hacking but scanning networks for open VNC ports sure was fun, connecting to them was even better.
Though that was all for fun and not really that big of a deal. Writing key loggers and worms is not very wise though... don't do it :P

It really depends on your definition of hacking.
I've done a shitload of phishing earlier, and some bruteforce cracking of passwords (as stated previously, people have easy-to-guess passwords).
I've also gained access to less secure wireless networks, and pulled things from the signal. Although, that was more to see if it could be done.
To those of you interested in security, I can suggest the various bugtraq mailling lists.
