Do data caps actually exist these days?
TBH I live in third world country, and we don`t have data caps for many many years now.
For ~20€ I get 250-15, including telephone and TV service, and UniFi travel.

Shitty 20/2 internet for 27€, absolute shit, could upgrade to 50mbit which is the max here in my village for 35€.
But I'm moving next week and will use LTE/ 5G there where I have to pay 24€ for 350/100 max speeds (but probably less anyway).

12.50€ for 150/25 in Poland. No caps.
It is a grandfathered legacy deal.
You can get a better deal here, but the real problem is all new deals come with a 24-36 month promo contract. Afterwards you get "out of promo" higher price, unless you sign a new 24-36 month deal. Their trick is, as an existing customer you cannot sign up for a new deal cheaper than the previous one, so they force you to get a new, higher price, or to change the ISP, which is a hassle.

Extortion on your ISP doesn't really work over here ... all you can do is switch the provider every two years. Switching can be risky, though. They don't always deliver what they promise. I've had cable with a speed 1000/50 for €40, but it just wouldn't work (I only got about 6-15mbps downstream ... or less than 2 percent of what was promised). After no less than 5 service technicians failing to solve the issue they finallly let me out of the contract. Now I have 250/30 via vdsl for €55 a month, which is expensive, but at least it works (very well actually, it feels closer to 280-300 mbps than 250). No caps and telephone landline with several numbers and flatrate (with calls to mobile) included.

Way too much for way too little, but they have a monopoly here.

i have Cox and they are extremely bad with regular outages every month, low speeds and high prices. I pay US$93 for 940/35. ridiculously low up speed. 1280 GB data cap. They get away with this because no competitors in my neighborhood and they know they have monopoly.
