I was waiting for something like The Dark Knight. Deadpool as a cold psycho killer, THEN I founded out Fox will produce it...
AND Ryan Reynold(the second Ben Affleck) will play Deadpool... This is sad... Now i think Deadpool will be a film for the entertainment of all happy families and he will be so evil and psycho as The Mask. I can already imagine the second step from Fox: create a cartoon serie called "The Crazy Deadpool".
I hope someday they remake this movie.

Well it's the same actor who played Deadpool in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine. So I don't think the character will be light hearted or "cartoony". Fox have produced films covering a wide range of genres, so I wouldn't get upset just yet.

I really liked Deadpool from 2009. Ryan Reynolds was funny but his character had a dark side as well. I was upset that he had such little screen time, until the final battle between Logan and Deadpool, which was absolutely amazing.

I hate to disappoint you, but the comic book version of Deadpool (and videogame version), is very humorous. They really portrayed him as a funny character rather than a stone cold mercenary which is the impression I had when I saw him in 2009 in Wolverine. So remember, he could be a lot worse!

I think the issue some people have with that, was that they changed a lot about DP. Imo, he felt more like a new character, with the name "Deadpool" tagged on him. DP from the movie just didn't seem all that similar to his comic version. The game stayed true to the source material.

Before Christopher Nolan came along, I had literally no interest in Batman. This is similar to how I feel about Deadpool and the Wolverine version of Deadpool. While I understand that humor is essential for fans of the comics, putting 20 year old comic book characters, straight into modern day blockbuster films is never a good idea.

True. I also think DP might be a bit difficult to translate to screen if they stick to the comic book version. They probably need to make compromis somewhere (or just have some tweaks all over the place). A game or comic can be wacky and still be good fun and a hit (arguably Saints Row). But a movie has a limited timespan and needs to be somewhat coherent.

So I am curious what story they will tell and how they translate DP as person to the big screen.

For once, I wish they would ditch the "creation story" for our heroes. We all know that they used to be normal and are now different, there's no need to spend half of the movie taking a new slant on how their current state came to be; waxing long exposition, leaving the heavily anticipated moments to be crammed into the last act of the film.

This should open with Deadpoool breaking the 4th wall and hit the ground running.

the way they gave Deadpool all those powers from Cyclops and other characters in that movie was a disappointment, not Ryan Reynolds.

Deadpool isn't evil. He is probably chaotic neutral, in D&D terms ;) He is something of a anti-hero, who is instable and not 100% all there. So a evil, psycho Deadpool would be the wrong characterization, imo. Even without being evil, DP brings sheer violence.

In that Wolverine movie, they did him a great disservice, to put it mildly. To a lesser extend Emma Frost and Maverick as well (I cared less about the others :P). And seen DP is aware that he is not "real", talks with textboxes, goes against the flow of any serious story, I am curious how they will make a coherent film, without him sidetracking or derailing important bits.

Dead evil is not "evil" but he don't give a fuck if he dismember or explode someone :P So I think in a realistic point ov view he would yeah be considered evil

He generally only does that to characters who can take it (Wolverine, e.g.) or just enemies who attack him. And those enemies are usually villains or simply more or less holding the same work ethic of no holds barred violence (The Punisher, e.g.). He does not actually dismember or kills people who are considered heroes, good (unless they will recover from it). Only the ambiguous or evil. Blame the writers for that :P

Besides, DP looks out for himself. He does not align with good or evil, he just does his own thing, regardless if someone takes issue with it.

The fact that they decided to cast Reynolds as Deadpool means that he will most likely be the same character from Wolverine. Of course, this Deadpool film will almost certainly be based before the events that turn him into a walking computer, aka: Styker's bitch. I only hope we get to see more of the Deadpool at the start of the Wolverine film.

Ben Affleck is a fine choice, stop getting your panties in a bunch (i.e it's not that big of a deal). And Ryan Reynolds is awesome, not his fault whatsoever that they fucked up Wolverine Origins or that Green Lantern wasn't up to snuff. And Ben Affleck, if given proper reign in acting, can be better than Bale ever was or will be. If he is given directing rights (or if the directors take care to take some advice from him as the wonderful director he is), the movie will indeed have a chance at greatness.

The more I've thought about it, I do think that Affleck would make a lame standalone Batman. But since this is Justice League, I think that Affleck could work well as Wayne/Batman in such an ensemble setting (whereas Bale would only suffer).

Ben Affleck is a good choice? Did you liked DDevil? If you did... man your movie taste is cheap ( no ofence )

You're so right, because that film was made in the same era, with the same director, exact same writers, and identical budget.

DDevil is 10 years old and was crap. 12 Angry men is 56 years old and the actors acting was for sure way better.
I don't think era is a big point. And for real, Ben Affleck never played a remarcable character, even playing the main character.

Name any actor you want, and he/she has at least one bad movie. That said, I did very much enjoy Daredevil for what it was at its time. I am also an avid Marvel reader and I can still judge it on its own merits and not necessarily throw the movie out the window just for changing some directions. I also very much know that taste is subjective and to each his own, and not to call out on somebody else's different taste/opinion.

Good day.

Ryan Reynold's is a good actor for some movies. He said in an intervieuw that there was not enough money and that they where still diciding if they would make it or not. However if they wont make a Deadpool movie Deadpool will get a role in the new X-Men. Ryan Also said I want Deadpool too be Deadpool I want it too be as in the Comic Books and not some weak Deadpool. So there is hope!

well, i liked the 5 minutes of the reynold's deadpool, from the wolverine origins movie, not the "look at me i'm shooting lazers from my eyes, and i have swords hidden in my arms, that are actually longer that my arms" thing of the end, but the "merc with a mouth" was fine. also, deadpool is not a evil psycho, well, the first deadpool maybe was (locking up blind al in "the box" was pretty evil), but i preffer the deadpool that tries to be a hero, trying to find his place on the world... it could be great... it could be a massive disaster too, but, the time will let us know.
