I have fond memories of Zanzarah: The Hidden Portal, which is like a mix of Quake 3 and Pokemon.

Holy shit I'm not the only one who played that crap. It's a bit too blatant in ripping off Pokémon, but I didn't care. OCD players must avoid though.
Too bad it never will be sold again anywhere, Funatics is no more and I doubt anyone would want to buy the IP.

Dangan Ronpa, even though it has a fairly large fandom and is getting a US version along with a recently announced spinoff.

Bahahahahahhahahahhaa!
Good one!
Wait are you serious? It's nothing like a dating sim. It's more like a murder mystery visual novel.

Well, not really that-hidden gem, but still it should be recalled every time someone asks about them.

If you're an RPG fan, you simply must give it a try - just remember about unofficial-patches.
Not many games that give you different gameplay-experience from very start, as playing Nosferatu or Malkavian is so different to other vampire clans.

I often started it but never completed it somehow...

Yea. Soo sad the company that made it went under not long after making that game. Was a good one.

Agreed!
Also, the Freespace games were freaking awesome. Volition Software RIP

The guys that made Total Annihilation made Supreme Commander I beleive, and it shows, I enjoyed it, but Supreme Commander 2 was a let down because it felt like they really dumbed it down a lot.

I would have liked a sequel to El Shaddai: Ascension of The Metatron.
Hagane on Super Nes is really great but very little known, and it never got the sequel it deserved. Same with Axelay, though that one is more well known.
Reckoning: Kingdom of Amular getting crushed was very tragic.
I don't know if it ever picked up, but Anarchy Reigns deserved far, far, far, better sales and review then it got. Video game tragedy of the century.

Space Rangers - one of the best russian games, last part (HD) is coming to english steam pretty soon (octobernovember), already available in russia (since feb.). Link: spacerangershd.com, somehow i cant add it as clicky D:
Heroes of the annihilated empires.
Tourgor aka Tension aka The Void (Different names, Russian is TourgorТургор) - game without a common genre.
Pathologic (Russian name is Plague:Utopia aka Мор:Утопия) - horrorish... thing.
Cryostasis (Dissapeared from steam store) - Russian "survival horror" with very complicated story.
The list is quite long. There are a LOT of epic games like these in rus, but they are fairly unknown outside.

Check these all out:
Zanzarah: The Hidden Portal, Secret Files: Tunguska (rest of the series is meeeeeeeh), ObsCure, Flywrench, Bad Mojo, Anachronox, Blade Runner, SHOGO: Mobile Armor Division, Mark of Kri, The Firemen (SNES), Skies of Arcadia, Super Amazing Wagon Adventure, Solar 2, Second Sight, Rollcage 2, Megarace 2, Klonoa 2 (turn down the fucking volume on this one though, if you value your sanity), Blair Witch Project vol. 1: Rustin Parr, Advent Rising, Kick Master (NES), The Simpsons: Hit & Run, Sanitarium, Microsoft Midtown Madness series, Microsoft Motocross Madness series, Tom & Jerry In: House Trap (best played co-op), Hunting Unlimited series (I never thought a game like this would be actually engaging, holy shit was it a surprise), The Suffering, Metal Arms: Glitch In The System, Gun Metal, Freedom Fighters, Clive Barker's Jericho, Clive Barker's Undying, Outcast, the Jedi Knight series (quite popular in their time though), Rumble Racing, Porrasturvat, The Punisher (2005-ish PC one, not the arcade), and maybe Requiem: Avenging Angel, though I hated that one.
I could probably dig up at least this much more, but I'm too lazy to do so. You're welcome, happy fishing.

I was in the beta.. I was all excited for the game till they decided to nerf some things into almost non-existence.
If it was not for that I probably would have bought the game. It was the last min patch they did. ( The patch was put into the beta when there was only a day left in it.. was soo stupid in my opinion )

+1 for Sacrifice. That was one hell of a game, with original gameplay and great voice acting.

Hah yea that was a good one. Do not think it sold well sadly :( At least not during the first month or so.

I was going to mention Sacrifice, myself, but you beat me to it. I've still got it installed due to my recent Earth-powers-only playthrough.

Silent Storm - Squad based tactical game based in WW2, very cool - recently greenlit and will be on steam, even though game is already few years old.

I kinda like the game, but I'm not able to beat the fight in the tunnel :(

I had trouble with that boss at first too but then I mainly used the assault rifle to expose the flashing weak points and used the sniper rifle to hit the exposed weak points on his head, underside, and arms. but even with this it still took a minute to beat him due to Shindo's less than satisfactory driving skills.

Seems I was talking about a different situation, because I just met Shindo after that, but I did it ^^
It was the one with the Mobile Howitzer, but I was doing it completely wrong, even though thank ;)

^^ Some were annoying like this wheel thing, I always shot the head and nothing happened, but then I figured it out xD
Now I'm in the Building searching for R&D, but I'm keeping that for tommorrow or rather later today :P

The site has had several iterations, but that's where you can find it, now. One of the most impressive sites on the net, IMHO.

As the title states, I wanted to ask around a little who here knows some hidden game gems that are unknown.
I personally, contribute to this "list" (?) this game.
It is so unknown, that at the end of it's life I bought the boxed version at a German retailer for a euro.
It is a great RTS game. I returned to it after some years and a new 40€ expensive copy, started making a custom campaign for it (it has an editor with the "SAIL" programming language, which is essentially Pascal, since the game was programmed in delphi (I also know Delphi! Mahou right?).
Anyone who likes RTS should check it out.
Is there anyone who has the same feeling about some other game?
